castro, inc. the master media manipulators

Here at Babalu Blog you often read how we bemoan "Cuba experts", that rare breed of human being who is constantly quoted in the press as an expert in the subject matter of Cuba and the castro regime, usually blaming US policy, Cuban Americans and any other factor other than the castro brothers for the repressive totalitarian apparatus they have built on the island. Did you ever wonder how the media gets its "experts" like these? If you do then you'll enjoy this short video. The video is part of a discussion that author Neil Strauss had with self-proclaimed media manipulator Ryan Holiday. It's a window into the lazy world of mainstream journalism.

Journalists love to claim they are the fourth estate and protectors of truth. If they can be so easily manipulated by pranksters and authors trying to sell a few books how easy would it be to manipulate them if you were a foreign government with an agenda to manipulate because your survival depends on it. Any journalist who sees this video should be, as Ryan Holiday says, appalled that this stuff goes on every day.
