Big Brother prepares to “convict” Carromero and sentence him to 7 years

"Not one witness to accuse me, not one to identify me, not one single piece of evidence against me." (Armando Valladares regarding his 30 year sentence in 1961.)

"Forget your lawyer mentality. What you say doesn't matter. What proof you provide doesn't matter, even what the prosecuting attorney says doesn't mater. The only thing that matters is what the G-2 (military police) says." (Castroite prosecutor Idelfonso Canales to Rivero Caro 1961.)

"When it is a question of annihilating the enemy, we can do it just as well without a trial." (Andrei Vishinsky, 1936.)

"Judicial evidence is an archaic bourgeois detail, we execute from Revolutionary conviction.” (Che Guevara, 1959.)

BTW, Oswaldo Paya's family did not charge Carramero with anything--Big Brother did.

The regime has effectively killed five birds with one stone:

    1. First and foremost, they killed Paya
    2. They cleansed the blood off their hands by blaming someone else
    3. They silenced Carramero--probably for good. An acquaintance of mine who was in prison in Cuba told me that the regime often silences political prisoners with blackmail. Once in prison, they are gang raped. The regime then threatens to tell everyone what happened if they don't cooperate.
    4. The Swede must now keep quiet, or they will take it out on Carramero, effectively silencing the Swede.
    5. They've sent a message to other would-be human rights activists who may want to help dissidents inside of Cuba: go there and there will be consequences.

Of course, all under the distracted and indifferent eye of our otherwise eagle visioned mainstream media that can find a needle in a haystack and connect a million dots if the subject at hand is a Republican.

He’s screwed. Spain is hardly likely to do better than Obama with Alan Gross. It’s not just that Spain has far more pressing fish to fry, like economic meltdown, but that it is much too compromised with respect to Cuba. The Spanish socialists have only worsened Carromero’s position, knowingly and deliberately, by publicizing dirt on him; they’re evidently happy their political rivals are in such a bind and do not give a shit about Carromero. That’s really all one needs to know about them: if they’ll screw over a Spaniard because he’s not a socialist, why the hell would they care about Cubans, especially “those people”?

And the Swede, aka "El Sueco Durmiente"? Fine, thanks.

Imagine the same scenario but with an American black man held by Botha's South Africa. OMG.

    As O'Brien said:

"Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power."

The reality is that free world and all its spurious and dishonest "advocates for democracy" have invested in Castroland and allowed it to survive as a post-soviet profit for the minions running it. As a result, Castro Inc. acts like the grand pimp he is for the world has decided to be johns, it's that simple. These immoral hypocrites know Castroland is a criminal state with no legal protection and they won't do anything that will risk their miserable intestests in it.

Plus, Castro is a leftist tyrant, not a right-wing dictator so that simply makes him a "revolutionary leader" in no way accountable for its slavish atrocities; better yet, what slavery, atrocities, or aberration.

For all practical purposes these people have no one confronting them, no one, not even Colombia despite Castro's involvement in El Bogotazo, the training of guerrilla leaders in Cuban soil, the propping of Chavez next door, etc. And as far as USA goes, all of us here know that Castro owes its 53 year tyranny to USA. THEY put him in power and have done nothing but protect him since (something neither side will ever admit, but the truth).

That said, to win one must play the same game and with better plays. The reality is that until we start having "accidents" as consequence of "accidents" these people will continue destroying that nation and doing whatever the hell they please and with total ease.
