The Cuban Five–another appeal
"You Da MAN!--Martin Garbus!"
Attorneys for a regime that copied its judicial system--lock stock and barrel--from Stalin and Andrei Vishinsky during the Moscow Show Trials tied up the U.S. judicial system in the longest trial in it's history (The WASP network)
And it ain't over:
This week the attorney (Martin Garbus) for a totalitarian regime (Stalinist Cuba) where every newsman and woman is a regime apparatchik whose only income issues from the regime that keeps them in line under penalty of torture chamber--and where every foreign reporter is kept in line with 15 spies constantly shadowing them and videoing their sexual cavortings--lawyers for this regime filed an appeal for convicted spy and accessory to murder Gerardo Hernandez because a couple of Cuban-American reporters once got some beer money from Radio Marti.
These reporters (Ninoska, C.A. Montaner, Olga Connor, etc.) are shameless "agents!" of the U.S. gov. thunders the Stalinist regime's lawyer, Martin Garbus.
Martin Garbus, a prominent civil rights lawyer, argued in the brief that the U.S. government tainted the jurors in the trial of the five Cubans by using the U.S. government-owned Radio/TV Marti to hire journalists expressly to produce reports condemning the spies.
The New York attorney noted that some of the payments were secret — the affidavit uses the word 55 times — and argued that prosecutors should have revealed them to the defense during the trial. The government’s continuing refusal to make some information public amounts to a cover-up, he added.
The negative reporting amounted to illegal propaganda “by agents, not journalists,” designed to predispose potential jurors to convict the five, Garbus added. He gave no details on the 12 jurors who convicted the five.
