Castroites grovel for modernization advice–from VIET-NAM!

viet8viet3viet4viet6

The nation with the first railway system in Spanish-America (earlier than Spain's), with more cars and TV's per-capita than half of Europe in 1958, with the 3rd highest protein consumption in the hemisphere and swamped with European immigrants pre-Castro---this nation is now groveling for economic tutelage from VIET-NAM!

Cuba wants to learn from Ho Chi Minh City's approach to the economic renewal process, according to Marino Murillo Jorge, Vice President of Cuba's Council of Ministers.

What they want from Vietnam is the model that will permit them to stay in power and with the blessing of USA (so they hope), nothing more.

After 53 years of rampant destruction and forced misery for the mere sake of a totalitarian control that crossed the absurd to enter the aberrational, it is obvious Castro Inc. couldn't care any less about Cuba's socioeconomic development, at any level.

This was all about the trip of a capricious megalomaniac made possible by immoral minions looking for a reward from the all mighty sect-leader. This is now the minions foreseeing the future and fearing it, it is about securing their governmental positions, their bank accounts, and ultimately their freedom (and for some their lives).

What they see is two things, that Castro's days are numbered (along with many of the old guard) and that Vietnam's shift into a fascist model is much more stable and profitable than their stalinist one.
