It is funny that the new Obama ad voiced-over by a famous Hollywood movie star declares, “Our enemies have been brought to justice.” Either our enemies didn’t get the memo, or our enemies have been grossly underestimated in their declared defeat. Months after Osama Bin Laden was killed by US Navy SEALs Obama, Biden and all others toiling for his re-election have been out spiking the proverbial football every chance they have gotten. This is why the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, resulting in the deaths of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans, has been left pretty much un-investigated and the administration allowed to slide by the MSM. It doesn’t jibe with the Obama narrative of the administration and the media that our enemies have been defeated, and all is well. In fact, in the limited digging into the 9/11/12 terror attack in Libya (and those attacks prior to the big one) it has been found that Al Qaeda was among those planning and staging the deadly Benghazi attack. But the administration continues to stall, obfuscate, deflect, deflect some`mo, and lie (00:29 – 10:45)…
Laura Ingraham and Brit Hume finally say what we have been yelling about for weeks…
Well, you know, the media just didn’t believe it should cover the investigation into a nasty failure of a sitting administration so close to the election, or something. Now comes the excuse that the reason the Benghazi ground zero site was not reached in nearly three weeks was because the FBI was waiting for Visas?!? Is the administration this incompetent or this culpable? And do not forget or doubt that those two former Navy SEALs killed in Benghazi were not only looking for weapons, but for the weapons this administration armed the Al Qaeda riddled Libyan rebels with. Now, not learning a valuable and obvious lesson from Libya as they try to decide how to strike back at the attackers (But wait! I thought they were not yet certain exactly who carried out the attack?)…
The White House has put special operations strike forces on standby and moved drones into the skies above Africa, ready to strike militant targets from Libya to Mali — if investigators can find the al-Qaida-linked group responsible for the death of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Libya.
But officials say the administration, with weeks until the presidential election, is weighing whether the short-term payoff of exacting retribution on al-Qaida is worth the risk that such strikes could elevate the group’s profile in the region, alienate governments the U.S. needs to fight it in the future and do little to slow the growing terror threat in North Africa.
Details on the administration’s position and on its search for a possible target were provided by three current and one former administration official, as well as an analyst who was approached by the White House for help. All four spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the high-level debates publicly.
… the same administration is arming the same terrorist-driven rebels in Syria…
Most of the arms shipped at the behest of Saudi Arabia and Qatar to supply Syrian rebel groups fighting the government of Bashar al-Assad are going to hard-line Islamic jihadists, and not the more secular opposition groups that the West wants to bolster, according to American officials and Middle Eastern diplomats. That conclusion, of which President Obama and other senior officials are aware from classified assessments of the Syrian conflict…
Let’s just stop right there.
1. When the Times says “hard-line Islamic jihadists”, it does not mean the Muslim Brotherhood’s militias. It means Al Qaeda, groups linked to Al Qaeda or groups just as bad as those groups. We are talking Caliphate Now and Kill Anyone Who Gets in the Way types.
2. As Biden admitted during the debate, Obama outsourced the arms decision making process to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey. All 3 countries are run by Islamists. All 3 have extensive ties to Al Qaeda. Putting Qatar or Saudi Arabia in charge of a weapons program to Syrian rebels meant that those weapons were always going to end up in the hands of Islamists.
3. This is a religious war between Shiite Alawites and Sunnis. There is no true “secular” opposition and the Free Syrian Army has been conducting joint operations with the Al Qaeda linked Al Nusra front.
The United States is not sending arms directly to the Syrian opposition. Instead, it is providing intelligence and other support for shipments of secondhand light weapons like rifles and grenades into Syria, mainly orchestrated from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The reports indicate that the shipments organized from Qatar, in particular, are largely going to hard-line Islamists.
In other news, rain is wet and Qatar is a terrorist supporting entity which has been a big player in creating the Arab Spring. And even if you haven’t heard of Qatar, you have heard of their pet news network and favorite propaganda outlet of Al Qaeda… Al Jazeera.
However, smiling Joe Biden says Don’t worry be happy about that whole Al Qaeda thing in Syria. They really are able to tell the good guys from the bad guys… Oh, and yes, Syria is an internal religious civil war unfolding, as are much of the post “Arab Spring” things.
I take responsibility” for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN’s Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru, for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, was the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions.
“I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha,” she added, noting that it is close to the election.
