Prayers for The Rubio Family

While Marco Rubio has been campaigning this weekend with Gov. Mitt Romney his daughter was in a car accident this morning in Miami

LAKEWOOD CREST, Fla. — Sen. Marco Rubio’s 12-year-old daughter, Amanda, was involved in a car accident Saturday in Miami while the GOP senator was campaigning elsewhere in Florida with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

About 6:55 p.m. Friday, Romney’s campaign bus pulled off on the side of Interstate 4 here between stops in Kissimmee and Land O’Lakes to drop off Rubio, who left in a police car to fly to Miami to see her.

Amanda, the oldest of Rubio’s four children, is in stable condition at Miami Children’s Hospital, according to Alex Conant, a spokesman for Rubio. Conant said she was airlifted to the hospital following the accident and that Rubio was told of the accident after coming off stage at an afternoon campaign rally in Kissimmee. Details about the accident were not available yet.

Rubio has been traveling with Romney all day. They campaigned together Saturday morning in Pensacola, then Rubio flew on Romney’s chartered jet to Orlando, where they boarded Romney’s campaign bus to drive to a rally in nearby Kissimmee and then on to Land O’Lakes, near Tampa…

Feel better soon, Amanda.
