But, but, but, but, there’s a shift going on!

Herald/Mason-Dixon Poll of likely voters Cuban-American splits, hot off the presses:

Presidential Preference:
Romney: 76%
Obama: 19%
Undecided: 5%

Obama’s policies regarding relations between the U.S. and Cuba:
Support: 14%
Oppose: 71%
Undecided: 15%

Expand the rights of Americans to travel freely to Cuba:
Support: 29%
Oppose: 60%
Undecided: 11%

Wishful thinking by Tom Fiedler and others disproved once again.

Fiedler, you say? The noted Chihuahuaphobe? The man who brought us the great exploits of that journalistic jewel, one Oscar Corral? I mean, of course, his exploits as “content provider” for the Miami Herald, not those on Flagler Street involving a barely legal-age hooker. Curiously, one hasn’t heard any more about Corral since he, uh, left the Herald. Well, I suppose everyone can’t be a Rick Sánchez, but I digress. I wonder what Fiedler is up to these days? Maybe hanging out with Dan Rather, I shouldn’t wonder. Anyhow, we should be grateful to Fiedler for his attempts, however vain, to straighten us out and put us in our place. He was the very essence of Miami Heraldness, and yes, the aroma still lingers.

  • He's the dean of the college of communications at Boston University.

You mean Fiedler, right? Well, that figures. Boston is perfect for him. If only Wenski would join him there.

"Dean Fiedler" has a nice ring to it. Like Dean Wormer.
