Ship of Fools…

So, I am hearing from people like Frank Luntz, and others, that Obama won over voters because he ran a negative, mean and nasty campaign, and campaign ads filled with lies ... and Romney lost because he didn't. I thought in the last few elections we have been told the American people didn't want any part of negative campaigning. Which is it, huh ... because I really am fed up with the moving of the goal posts every election on this reasoning?

This is hard enough, but it appears as if all sanity is gone. Really, Florida?

Rep. Allen West may possibly be out of the House.

That flaming idiot Alan Grayson has been voted back into the House.

And just to be fair, Ohio ... you really are a hopeless pathetic mudhole. Just keep digging...

Meanwhile, the Hurricane Sandy-stricken east coast is under another bad storm. But just so you folks suffering through being kicked while still down, Chris Matthews wants you to know your losses were the bestest damn thing evah for Barack Obama. Suck it up...

America, THIS is the filthy mentality YOU threw-in with... This is where you get your information and truth from. The deaths of over 110 people and billions in destruction was just fucking great for Obama, according to Chris Matthews. I am certain Matthews won't find any disagreement in the White House, just as long as he keeps sipping from the Obama bed pan he has been carrying for the guy for the last five years.

Me? Well, I'm taking the hint. Since the Obama "new normal" is to be the 47% becomes the 90% I am all in for just me and mine. Nobody gets anything from me, outside my family. If the government is where you believe charity begins and ends have at it.

One more thought here...

All you people that didn't vote for Romney because he's "rich",

1. You do know Obama is "rich", right? No? You dumb-asses.

2. Don't you DARE strive, struggle, pine to be "rich" or even 'well-to-do'. Don't you dare... THAT is only for Obama supporting corporations, Hollywood and professional sports figures.

My friends and family that voted this mess not only back into the White House, but fed it in the Congressional races, I never want to hear any of you complain about gas, food, clothing, home energy, and medical prices as they continue to rise. When your job drops your medical insurance I don't want to hear a peep. The people were asked at the polls about the economy and they complained it was bad ... but voted for more. Swallow. Am I bitter? Not sure. Just very disappointed.

  • Allen West out. Allan Grayson in. That is all that needs to be said...

  • FreedomForCuba

Insanity running rampant, make no mistake about it, America will pay a very painful price for it!

  • FreedomForCuba

    Honey,

I'm not bitter, but it is frustrating to watch a train wreck in slow motion while trying to warn the stupid passengers to jump out of it before it is too late.

  • Honey

Those who voted for this, I would not want to warn to jump off the train. I would be like the Seals and save only those who knew. I am very bitter.

  • CountNomis

I think that it would make sense if we stopped to think what mistakes we made that led to this defeat, and what mistakes Romney made. I believe that many people voted the GOP because they voted AGAINST Obama and not FOR Romney. Like it or not, Romney was not the best choice that we made against Obama.

  • Gallardo

No CountNomis, Romney made no mistakes that lead to his defeat. He ran a very good campaign.

What we have here is social erosion and pure imbecility. We are under such a level of leftist rot, this nation is simply so dumbed down by now, that not even a Ronald Reagan would have defeated Obama. By now it is simply clear that we are outnumbered by ignorant and illusive idiots salivating for a paternal state.

There is no education nor understanding of what truly creates wealth, deficit, nor any care for it. There is no pride or respect for nation either. Rev. Wright, the Apology Tour, "you didn't build that", "vote against our enemies", etc - none of that matters. Facts and the obvious don't matter here anymore either, this is mere populist mesmerism at play and imbecility of the utmost kind finally taking over.

For an incumbent as bad as Obama to defeat someone who ran such a good campaign as Romney only reflects a very stupid populace not worth two craps. It has nothing to do with Romney nor any of the desperate stupidity they tried to stain him with.

Furthermore, after this I really don't know who from the right will be interested in wasting his time, energy, and money in 2016.

  • asombra

As with any massive fuck-up, there's plenty of blame to go around, and much if not all of it may well be justified. However, let's be very clear: this is first and foremost the responsibility of the voters, who could and should have known better (barring frank mental retardation or psychosis), even despite the blatantly corrupt media. Those who voted for Obama absolutely own his re-election and its consequences--both short and long-term. They may well live to regret it, but they will never even try to make it up to those who tried to prevent this and will wind up getting screwed just the same. Welcome to democracy in a degenerate society.

  • Honey

And, asombra, they will never admit that they were wrong.
Do not blame Romney. Perhaps he should have been more outspoken about Benghazi or about the social issues in a positive way. But he is not to blame for this defeat of America. The blame rests squarely on the shoulders of the intellectuals who have lost their intellect, those with their hands out and those who want to destroy America because that's what they think we deserve and too bad, as voters, they outnumber the good people left in this country.

  • Despite the attempt at humor on the part of some liberal bloggers regarding conservatives voting for Romney I have to agree with the Count. He was not my first choice nor was he my second choice. You rally around the Candidate you have and hope and pray he or she can pull it off. This election is the indicator that America is not ready to face the myriad of problems it's facing. They voted for the cool guy that'll give 'em stuff and looks good on TV. We are surrounded by idiots, nincompoops and morons who cannot see the forest for the trees.

  • CountNomis

No Gallardo, I disagree, and with all due respect it's that outlook that will lead us to another defeat in the next election if we don't do a reality check and next time choose a viable candidate. Romney was a terrible, terrible, candidate for anyone who didn't have a blinding hatred of Obama. He had a Swiss bank account and a Cayman Islands tax dodge; that's a red flag for anyone. When the hurricane devastated New Jersey, he insisted that the governor drop everything and come campaign for him; then, he had a tiny U-Haul that he said he was going to put stuff to send there. He oozed hypocrisy everywhere he went, telling them what those people wanted to hear, then going to the opposite stance elsewhere. He was against the same Obamacare that he instituted as governor. His refusal to release all his tax records and then releasing one that would make even Wesley Snipe laugh. His "I like to fire people," remark. I mean, he was possibly the worst candidate to put up against Obama. And Paul Ryan's speech at the convention where he uttered lie after lie after lie. And, my god, the arrogance of that family, especially his wife!

Next time we have to pick a better candidate. Maybe Rubio?

  • Honey

    count nomis.
I refuse to capitalize your name. You are the problem, not Romney.

  • FreedomForCuba

"What we have here is social erosion and pure imbecility. Perfectly stated Gallardo...

    Count,

Romney may not have been the ideal candidate but, for every red flag he has Obama has more, the difference here is that the MSM ignores Obama's flags and focuses on Romney's as deflection tactics.

People make no mistake about it, the number one culprit responsible for Barack Obama reelection is the MSM that protects him at every instance. The MSM keep the people stupid and uninformed as they still believe in what is being published to them as the gospel.

The conservatives must find a way to defeat the MSM. There are plenty of wealthy conservative Americans that need to invest more of their vast wealth into properly informing the American people.

We're loosing the propaganda campaign, that simple. From the college/university classrooms to the news media outlets we have to defeat the MSM lies. This goal requires massive investment from wealthy sponsors.

  • Mr. Mojito

The GOP needs to consider the fact that DEMOGRAPHICALLY we may not be able to win a majority any more.

Democracy doesn't work once 55 % realize they can vote themselves the wealth of the other 45 %.

It is the fundamental flaw of a democracy. There are not enough "makers" anymore to outnumber the "takers". And we are stuck in the catch 22 - that Obama's policies will only make more "takers" thus making it impossible for us to win in the future.

  • Mr. Mojito

As for Rubio, I don't think he could win nationally either at this point. The amount of hatred that would be spewed about him by our fellow "Latrineos" would be massive.

Rubio suffers from being a "white Cuban", which to many other "hispanics" is akin to Dracula. They resent us and our success.

  • Honey

It doesn't matter who we choose, they will demonize whoever it is.
The problem is not the msm. By now most voters should understand that they are the problem and they refuse to acknowledge it.

  • FreedomForCuba

    People,

America is at the verge of an economic crisis of great magnitude that will spare few. When that's happens it'll hit nearly everyone's pockets. Those who voted for Obama will face the consequence of their actions whether they're willing to admit it or not.

  • CountNomis

Look, if it makes you feel better to look for a scapegoat in the MSM, fine, but you have to take into consideration that it has always been hostile to conservatives, yet conservative presidents have been elected. Why was it different this time, then? Because we chose an arrogant, lying jackass as a candidate. That is it. Hell, even Romney did not carry his own state! Ryan didn't carry his either! That should tell you something. Face reality, folks, we chose a jackass.

This is not wishful thinking, but I truly believe that Rubio has a very strong shot at the presidency, if he doesn't shoot himself on the foot between now and then. Will the MSM be hostile? Yep, so what else is new?

  • asombra

No, Honey, it will never be their fault, just as the Castro disaster was nobody’s fault (except his or maybe Batista’s). And you know what’s especially disturbing here? That there are people you know, work with or are related to, who are neither uneducated nor stupid, people you may like or care about, even love, who voted for Obama. In other words, these are not Bill Ayers or Jeremiah Wright types, not Axelrod or Clinton or Biden types, not Chris Matthews or standard Hollywood types, but far more “normal” everyday people who absolutely should have known better—every bit as well as we did, because most of us also qualify as normal, fairly everyday people. How could they be so wrongheaded over something so serious? And how do you, or we, deal with that, with them? If somebody knows, please share.

  • Honey

asombra, I agree totally. How I am going to deal with it is I am going into hibernation. I am quitting my book group which I have been a member of for 44 and a half years, I am limiting my life to my dancing, my hobbies, my family and occasional social events. But I am restricting my contacts with liberals every chance I get.
Someone suggested to me the John Galt alternative. Suppose all of the business people, artists, creative thinkers, inventors all stopped earning money. Where would Obama go to get his taxes when they are not in operation and thus not hiring anyone? It is a pie in the sky idea. But those who have this luxury, go for it.

    • I concur. I'm proud to say I do not count one liberal among my friends. They wouldn't last long anyway after the 200th time I called them a "stupid liberal," or "uninformed moron," or "imbecile."

  • FreedomForCuba

    Vintage Pittbull! LOL.

  • Gigi

Dittos. I've even had problems dining with liberals. But I'm with Gallardo on this one: on Tuesday, I worked two precincts at a pretty nice section of the city for about 12 hours. The polling place was a middle school with white, black and hispanic kids. Up on the walls were student-drawn posters of obie in all his gory; and over the loudspeaker came the news that "the student election results are in" and obie beat Romney 89% to 11%. In every case I remember, the black and hispanic voters that needed my assistance voted dem, straight ticket. Hundreds. Some people came in and admitted that they didn't know what was on the ballot (including local propositions) and didn't care either --- they just wanted "obama." It sent a chill up my spine. One woman who could hardly read asked me "what's all this stuff" on the ballot - she just wanted to cast the presidential vote.
The culture is crass; obie's vulgarity (and that of his supporters) is bypassed and even applauded; an inordinate number of college freshmen don't have basic skills to take them thru school -- but they get to vote. With these kinds of people comprising such a large portion of the electorate, is it any wonder we got the same empty suit for another destructive term?
The foundations have been crumbling for a long time so this election should not surprise us. My only hope is that it will motivate us to rebuild, from the ground up, because that's the only hope. I'm not too upset because I half-way expected early in the race --- but it's not going to stop me in my efforts. Andrew Breitbart's response to adversity really motivates me.

  • FreedomForCuba

    Gigi,

Unfortunately it is going to take for a crash bigger than the ones in 2001 and 2008 for a substantial group of those who voted for Obama to realize what a bunch of fools they were.

I believe that crash in coming...
