The wisdom of our fathers

I received this advice from my father via text just now (translation mine):

Jealousy is the national pastime for many useful idiots. Socialism is the system in which the rich are made poor and the poor are made poorer. We have to be clever and intelligent to survive a socialist system. The idiots will continue being poor idiots and intelligent men will succeed. We will succeed. Long live liberty. Don't feel bad, this is temporary. Kisses. Dad.

Thanks for these words, Henry. this sounds like something my father would have said were he still alive-preceded by some wonderful Cuban obscenities at his disgust that this man became president then reelected by wonderful country. He couldn't believe it in 2008.
We Cubans left the "frying pan" so we know how hot it can get; now we have to fight to open the eyes of all of the useful idiots around us that don't think Obama and his ilk are Socialist/Marxists so that our country doesn't become the veritable "fire"
Medicine is over I'm afraid and there is no turning back. Very negative belief, I know, and it saddens me to no end as it is my profession and calling. Sad for me as a career, but sadder for me for my future health and for that of my patients. But other areas will hopefully be spared as long as we hold the House. Let's hope for change 2016.
