The more things change…
...the more the stay the same. Doesn't this remind you of 'Hope and Change'?
"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions and laughed delightedly at his licentiousness and thought it very superior of him to acquire vast amounts of gold illicitly. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the 'new, wonderful good society' which shall now be Rome's, interpreted to mean 'more money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious.' Julius was always an ambitious villain, but he is only one man." --Marcus Tullius Cicero (attributed, may be apocryphal)

It sure as hell reminds me of Castro and Cubans. And how.
"He is only one man." ONE. I've been saying this forever, practically. And you all know which "one" I'm talking about. The "people" own Castro and his consequences, just as they own Obama and his.
I was in the beauty parlor today and two lovely women were there, both Obama voters. They couldn't vote for Romney because he is rich and will only give money to his rich friends.
When I said Obama gives money away to everyone and then gets their votes, one said why is that bad? I asked her if she worked and she said yes, I have to pay for my kids college.
I told her to stop working and take Obama's goodies. He will give you loans for college and money to live on. If you work he will tax you heavily and your money will go to others who don't work and just take the goodies. Why don't you want to be one of them? Why do you want to work to pay for them instead?
There was no answer. She thought I was just messing with her. She wanted the subject changed. If I asked her where does Obama get all of this money, that is no concern of hers.
How did we all get so dumb so fast?
