Too many GOP pols simply want to be in office, period. They’ll play the game but mainly to stay in it, not necessarily to change or accomplish much of anything. Their agenda is pretty much their career and the perks that come with it. And yes, they’re also scared of the media and the whole leftist cultural establishment, which makes them even more wimpy, risk-averse and ineffectual.
