"Cuba is on pace for record tourism in 2012...Through late August, the Caribbean island hosted 2 million visitors, up 5 percent from the same period last year.
"Cuba assigns $45m to two airport expansion projects."
Hasn't Ms Donnelly of the Heritage Foundation noticed any of the above?...Is she somehow confusing the overwhelming international condemnation of segregationist South Africa with the overwhelming international support of Stalinist Cuba? Is she confusing the wholesale international trashing of tin-pot authoritarians Augusto Pinochet and Anastasio Somoza with the warm international embrace of Stalinist dictator Raul Castro?

Look at that photo of Benedict XVI and Castro II. The pope, despite all he supposedly represents and stands for, is officially, formally and openly shaking hands and smiling over an unrepentant, murderous fraud who is far worse than the moneychangers Christ angrily drove out the Temple in Jerusalem. How can anyone, especially any Cuban, possibly respect this pope or, by extension, the organization he heads? How can any pope have so little dignity and so little respect for his office?

Good point. How can any Cuban possible respect this pope or the church? It's beyond me. But then again, Cubans have proven that collectively, they are not very intelligent. The pope and the church are frauds. He's not God's vicar on earth and the Church doesn't represent Heaven. Not with its history of intrigues, double dealing, politics and kissing up to tyrants.
