Sonia Garro Alfonso: A birthday in a Cuban prison cell

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8wiir6gnOAo/ULm3mGdVvII/AAAAAAAAzpM/ITn_2pTnddk/s1600/SoniaGarrodeBlanco.jpg

Today is the birthday of Cuban opposition leader and Lady in White, Sonia Garro Alfonso. Instead of being surrounded by family and friends, she is surrounded by the four walls and bars of the putrid Cuban prison cell she has been kept in since March of this year.

Let us remember Sonia today on her birthday and every day. Let us also remember her husband Ramon Muñoz Gonzalez, who was arrested with her in March and also continues behind the bars of a Castro gulag.

More at Capitol Hill Cubans.
