Aron Modig

Swedish survivor of Paya crash retires from politics

Aron Modig, the young Swedish politician who survived the "accident" that killed Oswaldo Paya and Harold Cepero announced that he is not going to run for political office again. Modig is currently president of the Young Christian Democrats.   He also insists that this decision has nothing to with the accident in Cuba.

Paya's family has been claiming for months that they received several urgent messages from Modig's phone shortly before the crash, in which those riding in the car complained of a red Lada that kept bumping into them, trying to force them off the road.  Modig has claimed ever since the accident that he was asleep and can't remember anything.

Funny, how someone can sleep through a fatal car crash on a bumpy gravel road.  Funny, too, how a rising political star suddenly bails out.  Of course, his decision has NOTHING to do with the car crash and the fact that the Castronoid authorities released him.
