Female blogger and Castro critic attacked by demonstrators during speech!–forced to cancel others over security concerns!
Happens all the time folks. Just ask Ann Coulter, David Horowitz, Michele Malkin, etc.--who face it repeatedly and have been forced to cancel multiple speeches.
Your own humble and hardworking servant here has yet to make a college speech where he WASN'T denounced as: "GUSANO!" CIA-Agent!" by a little group. And that's what REALLY hurt, because it was proof they hadn't bought my books! If so, they'd known how I feel about our crackerjack CIA--at least its Latin American "experts" who handled Cuba in the late 50's.
And of course many Cuban dissidents would consider a little heckling by nangaras (or getting hit by some pies, eggs and rotten tomatoes) to be a luxury vacation compared to their regular schedule:
