Senator Marco Rubio: RIGHT on ALL issues!
To cut through the BS: During this administration greenie-weenie activists (i.e. Environmental "Experts") have gotten too influential with their greenie-weenie government cohorts. These type of people are professionally (and temperamentally) irked by the type of people who love to fish. These latter folks are too reminiscent of those tacky rustics who "cling to guns and bibles," etc. So the Greenie-Weenie coalition is doing its best to regulate us to death--cutting our fishing seasons, fish limits, etc., and --who knows?--maybe eventually make half of U.S. coastal waters some kind of "ecological preserve." The key to this scheme is using bogus studies that claim via "Stock Assessments" from "Experts" that half the fish in the Gulf are "endangered," or "threatened" from "overfishing," blah..blah...
Senator Rubio ( in a proper Senatorial way) is calling them on it.
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and senators from Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and North Carolina today sent a letter to the U.S. Government Accountability Office requesting a review of how the Department of Commerce conducts stock assessments in the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic. ...“Stock assessments are the foundation of sound fishery management,” said Rubio. “It is vital that, as we work to preserve the waters and resources surrounding Florida and other states, we base our management decisions on sound science. The report we’ve requested today will shed light on the decision-making process within the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Fishermen throughout the Gulf Coast are high-fiving the good Senator for his support!
“Fishing organizations in the southeast, both commercial and recreational, salute Senator Marco Rubio for leading the effort to require the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) to provide the basic science needed for honest stock assessments,” said Bob Jones, Executive Director of Southeastern Fisheries Association.
("Pero fijense que tipo mas DESCARA'O! este Fontova! Mete este tema, simplemente para colar una foto de "EL GRAN PESCADOR!" y uno de sus hijos en Babalu! Pero que tipo mas PESA'O!!)

Marco Rubio 2016!!!! Period End Of Story!!!!!
"tacky rustics who "cling to guns and bibles," etc" One of the problems with those tacky gun clingers and people who fish, (or know how to fish) is that they can produce their own food. They don't need the government tit. Therefore, they are automatically enemies of the "state".
Nice photo. The fish look almost real.
By the way, how did the photo get past the Cajun/redneck filter? There IS a filter, right?
Shoulda TASTED them!
asombra,
Those are Redfish, from the West Coast of FL, Texas and Humberto's neck of the woods.
I catch them regularly fishing in the islands of Everglades National Park, only one allowed per person, fish size from 18 to 27 inches maximum. They're absolutely gourmet taste (let's say is different taste than snapper), the meat is white with red lines and absolutely delicious. It makes an outstanding ceviche.
