Summoned by police, Cuban independent journalist stands up for her rights
The quote of the day comes from Magali Norvis Otero Suarez, a Cuban independent journalist and Damas De Blanco, after a young punk of a policeman summoned her to a police station for an interview this week:
"I have not committed any crime. I have only reported on and demanded respect for human rights. ... I desire for my country the freedom of expression, opinion and movement. This is why they threaten me and try to restrain me, for expressing myself freely."
