Quote of the day
Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) at the U.S. Cuba Democracy PAC luncheon this past Friday in Coral Gables, Florida in regards to his stance on U.S. policy towards Cuba and the Castro dictatorship (via El Diario de las Americas - my translation):
"Twenty years ago I said first comes Cuba, then comes the Party; I have stayed true to that. There are well-financed interests out there that don't want me to remain in my position because of my staunch stance (in regards to Cuba) and soon we will know who they are... When it comes to liberty in Cuba, there is no negotiation."

Bob, I call bullshit. You are as much of a leftist as EVERY SINGLE ONE of your brothers and sisters in your party. Pardon me for not buying your load of crap.
Well, it's not saying much, but he's better than a Goldilocks García or a Saladrigas. Of course, the obvious question is, if Cuba means that much to him, why would he belong to a party so notoriously bad for Cuba?
God, I hope he took a commercial flight...
Asombra, my sixteen year old niece has better political sense than those two. As for Menendez belonging to the Dems, la mordida is impossible in NJ if you're not a Dem. That's the nicest way I can put it...
Pitbull, your sixteen year old niece probably has more brains than all the Democrats in the Senate, lol...
I would be very nervous mentioning a 16-yr-old in the Senator's presence...
