Cuba’s Ladies in White leader subjected to another Castro regime organized act of repudiation in Madrid
The Leader of Cuba's Ladies in White, Berta Soler, was subjected to another act of repudiation by operatives of the Castro dictatorship in Spain. At an event in Alcobendas, Madrid, a pro-Castro mob began yelling and hurling insults at the prominent Cuban human rights activist, holding up signs supporting the brutal and repressive regime of the Castro family. In her usual calm and courageous fashion, Ms. Soler responded to the protestors by holding up a t-shirt inscribed with the words, "Cuba Si, Castro No."
At the end of the event, the mayor of Alcobendas and his wife had to escort Berta Soler to the vehicle she was traveling in, fearing the protestors would become violent and physically attack her.
