Statistics

By Enrique Del Risco in Enrisco (my translation):

Statistics

Statistics tell us that Cuba is the best country in Latin America to have children. Or that the Cuban diet is the most balanced diet of any other country.

However, what these statistics will never explain is the tendency of Cubans to escape to any other country with worse statistics.

(And don't forget the Haitians who no matter how many Cuban statistics you show them prefer to go to the Dominican Republic: A country that is -- as far as statistics are concerned -- infinitely worse.)
