Comedian and icon of Cuban exile community Alvarez Guedes hospitalized in Miami

Guillermo Alvarez Guedes en foto del 2007, con motivo de su cumpleaños 80.

Alvarez Guedes, an iconic Cuban American comedian who has provided generations of Cuban exiles with comedic relief  has been hospitalized in Miami in an intensive care unit. The 86-year-old entertainer was complaining of stomach issues and according to family members, he is conscience and alert as doctors monitor his condition and ensure he is receiving adequate nutrition.

El Nuevo Herald has the report (in Spanish) HERE.

And as we pray for Guedes' quick recovery, we can also do what he has always wanted us to do: Laugh.
