Tweet of the day – Cuba’s Apartheid

Imagine living in an island nation touted as a tropical paradise and known for its beautiful beaches, fishing, and boating. Now imagine that the government of this nation has decreed that only tourists are allowed to enjoy these amenities and that you, as a citizen, are prohibited from even boarding a boat.

Cuban blogger Yusnaby Perez tweets a photograph of a boat in Cuba reserved exclusively for tourists that Cubans are not allowed to board (translation by Capitol Hill Cubans):

"Did you know Cubans can't board this vessel simply because they are Cuban?  Only foreigners can in #Cuba."
