(Another) Sunday, Bloody Sunday in Cuba
Yesterday, Cuba's Catholics celebrated the day of their patron saint, La Virgen de la Caridad (Our Lady of Charity). This special religious occasion brought thousands of Cubans out on a Sunday to pay homage, and when you combine crowds of people expressing freely their religious beliefs with the Castro dictatorship's repressive State Security, the results are always bloody.
This past Sunday saw at least 200 arrests of Cuban dissidents attempting to practice their faith, an unpardonable sin in the eyes of Cuba's brutal, totalitarian, and violent apartheid dictatorship.
