Arrests and violent repression mark another Sunday in Cuba
It is amazing that only ninety miles from American shores, there is a country where the simple act of a group joining together to attend church services on a Sunday is met by violent repression and arrests. That is what is happening in Cuba almost every single Sunday for several years now, and that is what happened yesterday for the tenth Sunday in a row.
If it's Sunday, it's time for repression in Cuba
For the 10th straight Sunday, the Castro dictatorship has unleashed its "rapid response brigades" and other goons to target peaceful opposition activists in Matanzas and elsewhere in the country who only want to gather for Sunday Mass. Already, there are reports that former Group of 75 prisoners of conscience Ivan Hernandez Carrillo and Angel Moya Acosta have been arrested.
Here is a look at what is being reported from Cuba this morning, another Sunday of repression in Cuba.
