Over 60 dissidents arrested after Castro State Security raid in Cuba
The "reforms" of Cuban dictator Raul Castro added more than 60 names to its list of victims yesterday. More than 60 dissidents were arrested after a massive raid by Castro State Security agents on the home of a Cuban dissident during a meeting of democracy and human rights activists.
Over 60 Cuban Dissidents Arrested in Regime Raid
Over 60 members of the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), a peaceful opposition group, were arrested by the Castro regime tonight.
The democracy activists were gathered at the home of Ovidio Martin Calderin in the Vista Hermosa neighborhood of the easternmost city of Santiago de Cuba.
They were gathered to protest the imprisonment and torture of UNPACU activists, Rubislandi Avila and Roilan Alvarez, who have been on a hunger strike since their arbitrary arrest on September 30th.
The home was stormed by agents of Castro's political police and riot troops.
More "reform" you can't believe in.
