Yesterday became the 15th consecutive Sunday in Cuba where the Ladies in White and other peaceful human rights activists were victimized by violent and brutal repression at the hands of the Castro dictatorship. As the Ladies in White and their supporters attempted to leave their homes and peacefully march together to attend church services, a repressive operation organized by Cuban State Security was launched against them. Like the fourteen Sundays before this last one, the activists were physically attacked and arrested for the crime of advocating human rights in Cuba by marching together silently and peacefully on the streets of Cuba.
