15th consecutive Sunday of violent and brutal repression in Cuba

Yesterday became the 15th consecutive Sunday in Cuba where the Ladies in White and other peaceful human rights activists were victimized by violent and brutal repression at the hands of the Castro dictatorship. As the Ladies in White and their supporters attempted to leave their homes and peacefully march together to attend church services, a repressive operation organized by Cuban State Security was launched against them. Like the fourteen Sundays before this last one, the activists were physically attacked and arrested for the crime of advocating human rights in Cuba by marching together silently and peacefully on the streets of Cuba.

Uncommon Sense has the report:

Cuban Damas De Blanco beaten, arrested in Santa Clara

Via Twitter, Cuban dissident Guillermo Farinas reports that police this morning have beaten and arrested several members of the Damas De Blanco, or "Ladies In White."

And from Colon, former prisoner of conscience Ivan Hernandez tweets that the police and other goons for the 15th Sunday in a row are prepared to again attack Ladies In White and other dissidents as they go to and from Mass.

Here's a look at what is being tweeted about repression today in Cuba.
