The U.S. imports OVER FIVE TIMES as much oil from Venezuela as from Kuwait. To keep Kuwait out of the hands of a terror-sponsoring regime the U.S. took a pretty “hard-line” position, if I recall.
Well, Cuba is a terror-sponsoring regime, and according to a source quoted by the (genuine) Venezuelan expert Amb. Roger Noriega:
“There is not a ‘Chavista‘ government in Venezuela today — it is a ‘Cuban’ government, instead.”
Well?….Should we hold our breath for some consistency in U.S. foreign policy? Or does a tiny but wealthy and influential cabal still dictate the archaic, counterproductive, cold war-era Cuba policy whose double-standards have made us the world’s laughingstock?
“Don’t worry, Maduro, we’re COOL!..Check out this correspondence between Kennedy and Khruschev!”
