Senator Bob Menendez Delivers Again

Senator Bob Menendez

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, delivered an outstanding and thorough speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate on April 7, 2014, on Cuba and Venezuela.

I’ve often stood for the proposition that an enemy of my enemies is my friend – regardless of political affiliations or religious convictions. Senator Menendez has proven once again that he is a true patriot who is deeply interested in the restoration of democracy to Cuba.

A "true patriot" does not vote with progressives 99% of the time. Take your blinders off, Jorge, and stop defending the people who are destroying this country.

    Ditto Carnac,

Deeds speak louder than words and the truth is that all the Cuban-Americans members of Congress have done nothing for Venezuela other that giving beautiful speeches of support for the Venezuelan protestors while condemning the oppressive tyranny of Nicolas Maduro.

Moreover, if all the Cuban-American members of Congress don't have the cloud/influence among their piers to find ways to enact tough measures against the murderous Chavista/Castro sponsored tyranny of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela, then they should start seriously thinking about doing something else for a living because the time for BS is over.

  • asombra

    George, you meant "progressives."

  • George Moneo

    I stand corrected, Asombra.

Just doing my job, George. Purity is not easy.

  • George Moneo

You're preaching to the choir, bub...

  • asombra

Yes, George, but purity of content can be counteracted by impurity of form, even though form is nothing without content.

Asombra, You're beginning to sound like General Jack D. Ripper...
