Quote of the Day – A small footnote

Over at Penúltimos Días, our good friend Ernesto Hernandez Busto addresses a claim by Rene Gonzalez, one of the Cuban 5 spies who was captured and imprisoned in the U.S. for espionage and murder, that everything the U.S. attempts against Cuba's Castro dictatorship fails (my translation):

"The spy says: 'they have tried everthing against Cuba, absolutely everything, and they always fail.' Well, I have to insert a small footnote here. They didn't fail with you. You were spying, they found you out, and they stuck you in prison for 15 very well-deserved years."

Fidel Castro said years ago that all five bumbling spies were coming home soon. Well, Castro didn't even bother have a photo op with Rene Gonzalez and it looks like he will die before spy leader Gerardo Hernandez finishes his life sentence.
