Venezuelan vice president Jorge Arreaza declared today that the demand that Cubans in Venezuela leave the country is “an insult” and he made assurances that they were not leaving and are an “integral part” of the Venezuelan nation

“To raise flags against the Cuban revolution, to raise your voice and say: Cubans, get out of Venezuela, that is an insult to the Venezuelan people and insult to the well-being of the Venezuelan nation,” said Arreaza during an event celebrating the 11th anniversary of the Barrio Adentro medical program.

He denounced that “some politicians in Venezuela” were aiming their protests against Cuba, “a laughable act, making themselves look ridiculous before the people, the Venezuelan nation, the nations of the world,” he said.
