A sickening display of Castronoid propaganda has made its way to Twitter, the internet, and the Metro train stations in Washington D.C.
As is always the case, it seems well-coordinated, well-funded, and well-grounded in Orwellian Newspeak, especially in the key principle of “blackwhite.”
For those who read Orwell’s 1984 a long time ago and have forgotten the meaning of “blackwhite,” here is the definition provided by the Newspeak Dictionary website:
blackwhite– The ability to accept whatever “truth” the party puts out, no matter how absurd it may be. Orwell described it as “…loyal willingness to say black is white when party discipline demands this. It also means the ability to believe that black is white, and more, to know black is white, and forget that one has ever believed the contrary.”
One of the chief selling points of this new propaganda blitz is the blackwhite “fact” that Cap’n Obama’s Cuba policy is responsible for creating a colossal wave of “reforms” in Cuba over the past four years.
In one way, this “fact” does point at one truth: No other American president has been as helpful to the Castro dynasty as Cap’n Obama. So-called Cuban “exiles” who return home for visits and send remittances to their relatives now provide Castrogonia with more income than the Cubans who live on the island. These “exiles” are the real labor force that keeps the Cuban economy afloat. European, Canadian, and Latin American tourists help a lot too. And the Castronoids hope that unrestricted travel from the USA will bring them an even greater windfall.
But who is this campaign to lift sanctions on Castrogonia unilaterally aimed at? Cap’n Obama? Not really, since he doesn’t ride the Metro. But can ordinary Metro passengers really do anything to change U.S. foreign policy? Not really.
So, what’s the objective here? In Orwellian terms, it seeks to rid the American public of “oldthink” and to create “goodthinkers.” This sort of saturation bombing of the mind does work to change mentalities, especially to condition those being bombed into thinking that black is white indeed. The ultimate aim, then, seems to be to create a mentality that accepts unrestricted travel to Castrogonia and unrestricted loans and trade as very good things for the American people.
And, as usual, the Castronoids know how to spin things their way. This campaign includes a very revealing glimpse of their fiendish clerverness and of the usefulness of dissident Yoani Sanchez. One hopes she will soon write a beautiful essay the poster below.
You can’t really mock the Castronoids for launching this campaign. They’re very smart. They know that their propaganda works. It has been working beautifully for them since 1959.
