Chile: Bienvenido, Putin

Now that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stopped in Chile during his tour of Latin America, Bachelet invites Putin to visit Chile

Chilean President Michelle Bachelet on Wednesday invited Russia’s Vladimir Putin to visit the Andean nation and the bases that both countries have in Antarctica with the aim of moving forward on scientific cooperation.

And it’s not just science,

[Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo] Muñoz also joined Lavrov at a meeting with Chilean Defense Minister Jorge Burgos to discuss “the potential for military exchanges.”

$5 says Russia comes out ahead on any of this.

  1. Bachelet had no problem with East Germany’s Erich Honecker, whose “hospitality” she enjoyed for 4 years in the ’70s, so of course she’s fine with Putin. We know she acted like a panting schoolgirl when she was in Havana and was told Nosferatu would receive her in person, so no problem there, either. Just another Latrine, only with a European veneer and ZORRA as hell.

  2. I trust Putin duly bared his chest for Bachelet. Not that it takes much for him to flash his doughy, sagging flesh.
