  • Humberto Fontova: Above comments prove that “El professor distraido” is back in FORM! As “distraido” as ever!

  • Carlos Eire: Wait! Retraction. I thought this list was from the New York Times. They listed my book today too, as one of the top 10....

  • Rayarena: By the way, there are actually 5 not 4 Cuban American congressmen. You evidently forgot to include former Miami Mayor Xavier...

  • Carlos Eire: Hey! I had nothing to do with this! The bastards refused to review the book when it was published. And also refused to list...

Massive Crackdown in Cuba With The Unjust Arrests of Antunez, Yris Perez Aguilera, Berta Soler, Angel Moya, and Dozens More, Says Ros-Lehtinen

“The only thing that totalitarian thugs in Havana are interested in is prolonging their stay in power and continuing to deny the Cuban people their fundamental human rights.

(WASHINGTON) – U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee, made the following statement regarding the arrest of Cuban pro-democracy leaders Jorge Luis Garcia Perez “Antunez”, Yris Perez Aguilera, Ladies in White leader Berta Soler, Angel Moya, and others. Statement by Ros-Lehtinen:

In yet another unsurprising act of oppression, the Castro regime, in a massive crackdown, has violently arrested Cuban pro-democracy leaders Jorge Luis Garcia Perez ‘Antunez,’ Yris Perez Aguilera, Ladies in White leader Berta Soler, Angel Moya, and dozens more. These arbitrary detentions are another somber reminder of the dictatorship’s forceful grip on the island in attempts to silence courageous leaders who seek democracy and freedom. The only thing that totalitarian thugs in Havana are interested in is prolonging their stay in power and continuing to deny the Cuban people their fundamental human rights. These nefarious activities are the reality of living in Castro’s Cuba, not the paradise wrongly depicted by Castro apologists and individuals seeking political and business engagements with this murderous communist regime. The Obama administration must immediately condemn this new repressive wave and stop providing concessions to the Castro regime.”
