Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro declared today that those companies that have joined what he calls an “economic war” against the government should be taken over by the workers who have “the law on their side.”

“Every company that joins the economic war in one way or another, its workers, who have the law on their side, should take over that entity of production […] and put it to work,” said Maduro during the induction ceremony of the Socialist Workers first congress.

“You can count on the necessary support to accomplish this,” he added.
