Earlier this week Alberto posted a story on the upcoming primaries in Venezuela. You can gather the people of that country are hoping for change in their next presidential election. I believe many of us can sympathize with them. For over three years some of us have made the comparisons between Obama and Hugo Chavez. However, I found myself easily able to substitute Chavez's name with Obama's as I read this article...

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan opposition supporters vote on Sunday in a primary likely to anoint youthful governor Henrique Capriles as the candidate to face socialist President Hugo Chavez in an October election that is already shaping up as a fierce fight.

Outwitted by Chavez since 1998, opposition leaders hope the nationwide ballot will galvanize their ranks, produce a unity candidate and help them finally unseat Chavez, whose mix of social spending and hostility to business has split the OPEC member nation's people.

Obviously I was able to ignore the "OPEC member" reference amid the blinding parallels because, under Obama, our nation is not only NOT an OPEC member, but cannot even enter into the Keystone Pipeline agreement with our neighbor and ally Canada. Quite the contrary, Obama seems content with our country being at the mercy of OPEC members who regard the U.S. as an enemy, even if Obama believes he's won them over with his unclenched fist.

Strong voter turnout on Sunday would help give the opposition momentum for a campaign where it hopes to portray Chavez, 57, as a Cold War-era ideologue who has lost focus on day-to-day problems such as crime and unemployment.

I know ... Weird, isn't it?

"I'm not an imperialist. Those are debates from 50 years ago when I wasn't even born," Miranda state governor Capriles recently told reporters, referring to Chavez's epithet for foes.

"This is a debate between stagnation and progress."

Here I was struck by the similarities of the liberal/leftist democrats' (and the media's) constant depiction of conservatives/republicans running in this country's election cycle. Among other scare rhetoric, the race card has been thrown down so many times by these people that it has become so transparent you can see straight through to their lunacy in using it, and the choruses of things like "Jim Crow", in order to obfuscate the real and critical issues. Obama and democrats warn republicans will pull the country back decades away from the progress that they have made. Yeah, that is pretty much the plan. The real progress we need is exactly the same progress Venezuela needs.

Drawing derision from Chavez, the five candidates in the primary have crisscrossed Venezuela, from Andean foothills to Amazon jungle hamlets, attacking his record and promising to stay united behind whoever wins on Sunday.

Well, I hope they are successful at that because our guys have spent more time and energy beating each other to a pulp and barely landing a glove on Obama's failed record ... and I am having a hard time envisioning unity in the GOP at this point of our long campaign.

Yeah ... that's what I thought she said. Maybe Nan and her party are a little worried about all those previous Wall Street political donations drying up? After all, it is an election year.

In all reality, odds are he's looking at his last year in office. God knows he and his wife are spending our money like it is. A year from now his wife will be looking around the White House to see what she can tuck inside her suitcase as MSM allowed historic souvenirs. But forget the ugly designer clothes, the WH china and artwork. In the course of this next year Obama will be looking at how many fundamental rights he can take from us on his way out.

Top on his list seems to be our Second Amendment right to own guns. If you had any doubts the ATF's/DOJ's primary goal in the gun walking "Fast and Furious" was to promote tougher gun controls over law abiding American citizens, those doubts should be fading very soon...

In the recently passed Omnibus spending bill Congress strictly warned Obama he wasn't to use any of that money to advocate or promote gun control. Now, as is his bad habit, it appears he is going to bypass the Constitutional checks and balances by doing an end-run around Congress to do what he damn well pleases.

John Lott writing for FOX News has more on this pattern: President Obama's Anti-Gun Agenda Shows No Sign of Stopping

And remember...

Struggling for ideas for <a href="http://www.newser.com/story/134863/why-gun-sales-are-at-record-high.html"target="_blank">that perfect gift this Christmas? This past <a href="http://bottomline.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/12/05/9227335-ready-aim-buy-why-gun-sales-spiked-on-black-friday"target="_blank">"Black Friday" gun sales broke the previous sales record by 1/3. (Read the comments at the link and weigh the tone ... and at an MSNBC link, of all places!) <a href="http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/133125/"target="_blank">"We are the 47%". The last gun sales record was set in late summer-early fall of 2008. I remember that statistic, but I'm trying to recall the significance of 2008... I really cannot, for the life of me, understand <a href="http://babalublog.com/2011/12/holder-hey-those-illegal-guns-sold-to-mexican-drug-thugs-will-be-killing-for-a-long-time-to-come/"target="_blank">the reasoning behind 2008's gun sales surge, or even <a href="http://babalublog.com/2011/11/obamas-razor/"target="_blank">think of a reason why citizens would lawfully exercise our <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoikNVzesGc"target="_blank">US Constitutional 2nd Amendment right to own guns ... can you?

The beginning of the week the U.S. Senate passed a bill, <a href="http://www.theblaze.com/stories/can-the-indefinite-detention-bill-send-americans-to-military-prison-without-trial/"target="_blank">National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) - Senate Bill 1867, saying the government can detain citizens indefinitely under suspicion of being terrorists. (Imagine if this same Bill had been even considered, let alone passed, under a republican administration or held Senate. Wait ... Why, the vote was a staggering 97-3!)

Republican Senators that did <a href="http://thehill.com/blogs/defcon-hill/policy-and-strategy/197519-sen-graham-committee-will-try-to-accommodate-fbi-concerns-on-detainee-provisions"target="_blank">vote for the bill assured there were no worries for American citizens. Yeah, because our <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni4GVWvT2Zs"target="_blank">US Constitution's 4th Amendment has been protecting us so far against <a href="http://www.local10.com/news/Elderly-complain-about-pants-search-at-airport/-/1717324/4881644/-/ov0t3e/-/index.html"target="_blank">the DHS's outrageous searches at the airport with <a href="http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/198357-house-gop-looks-to-strip-tsa-screeners-of-officer-title"target="_blank">the TSA. I have yet to hear/see any reports where any terror attempt has been thwarted by these invasions on children, housewives, and our walkered-elderly. But maybe we can all just chill with <a href="http://thedailynews.cc/2011/12/03/montcalm-county-gets-homeland-security-snow-cone-machine/"target="_blank">a DHS snow cone, eh? April 2009 <a href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=94803"target="_blank">a (then) newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report outlined additions to the "terror watch list". The document's title: "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment". Included in this report, aside from the obvious according to the title, are our returning Iraq/Afghanistan veterans. Yet, we are not permitted to say or even think the identity of this nation's real terrorist enemies.

The MSM is trying to spin and sugar-coat the reasons behind this record-breaking surge in gun sales as it is now somehow cool and socially accepted trendiness to own them ... guns, that is, not <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFY9gdmIwNw&feature=related"target="_blank">Min Pin Chis.

Yeah, right...

The American people aren't stupid and ignorant. The MSM is stupid and ignorant for believing that we are.

I think it pretty much tells you where the nation is right now ... and <a href="http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/christie-heckles-occupy-protesters-iowa/243566"target="_blank">Gov. Chris Christie has some thoughts on that as well, while confronting a recent OWS heckling (emphisis mine):

Here’s the way I feel about it: They represent an anger in our country that Barack Obama has caused,” he said, drawing cheers from the crowd. “He’s a typical cynical Chicago... politician who runs for office and promises everything and then comes to office and disappoints, and so their anger is rooted not in me or Mitt Romney, their anger is rooted in the fact that they believed in this hope and change garbage.

And they are <a href="http://babalublog.com/2011/12/send-in-the-commie-clown/"target="_blank">the ones that are eagerly awaiting the promised <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cqN4NIEtOY"target="_blank">fundamental transformation they believe has not come about soon enough. Then there are those of us, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZWaxjiQyFk"target="_blank">we "bitter clingers", that fully understand all of this, and will not be bought-off with DHS snow cones <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ_yQ02xwsM"target="_blank">while standing in search queues.

Obama's Razor - <a href="http://babalublog.com/2011/11/obamas-razor/"target="_blank">In any given situation, the most cynical explanation is usually the correct one with this administration.
Come on. Stop trying to play us here. Just admit it, and LOUDLY, what this is ... what you are all about. The defeat of our republic, and replacing it with communism.
Meanwhile, squatters in Washington DC are going on a hungar strike.
We all know while in Cuba the limo-lib elites do not do as the Cubans do. They enjoy the fabricated tourist island paradise the world media paints, some even enjoying the company of the Castros themselves. Some people discover the harsh disparity themselves.

Right now there are thousands of useful idiots occupying and soiling the streets of cities around the nation in hopes of moving us into the wonderful system of communism/socialism ... whatever they want to call it. They believe everyone should have the same, and nobody should have anymore than anyone else. All wealth and personal property should be redistributed equally.

Equally? Well, as you read here everyday you know it's not so equal in Cuba. Nor is it equal in any other communist enclave around the world. Even socialist Europe is showing ugly stretch marks from their decades of running a socialist Nanny State existence into the ground. China tries to hold itself up as the most perfect communist country ever. Those of us that do not romance the dehumanizing system of government are not fooled by its dabbling in capitalism in order to keep feeding its government machine. Even Castro is considering some of that, while hoping Obama can get the USA opening doors and windows to some of our tourism and financial bucks to re-fuel their regime.

But this is why those elites within our own government, business, and entertainment communities can so easily plan and push for our fundamental transformation to a socialist, and eventually a full-fledged communist, system. It is because they believe they will not have to give up an inch of property, a single dime, or an ounce of sweat and blood once the conversion from our republic to their ideal utopia? Well, all anyone needs to do is look to all pockets of the Marxist faith around the world to see where they get that idea. How about China's own rich and its "princelings"...

One evening early this year, a red Ferrari pulled up at the U.S. ambassador's residence in Beijing, and the son of one of China's top leaders stepped out, dressed in a tuxedo.

Bo Guagua, 23, was expected. He had a dinner appointment with a daughter of the then-ambassador, Jon Huntsman.

The car, though, was a surprise. The driver's father, Bo Xilai, was in the midst of a controversial campaign to revive the spirit of Mao Zedong through mass renditions of old revolutionary anthems, known as "red singing." He had ordered students and officials to work stints on farms to reconnect with the countryside. His son, meanwhile, was driving a car worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and as red as the Chinese flag, in a country where the average household income last year was about $3,300.

The episode, related by several people familiar with it, is symptomatic of a challenge facing the Chinese Communist Party as it tries to maintain its legitimacy in an increasingly diverse, well-informed and demanding society. The offspring of party leaders, often called "princelings," are becoming more conspicuous, through both their expanding business interests and their evident appetite for luxury, at a time when public anger is rising over reports of official corruption and abuse of power.

State-controlled media portray China's leaders as living by the austere Communist values they publicly espouse. But as scions of the political aristocracy carve out lucrative roles in business and embrace the trappings of wealth, their increasingly high profile is raising uncomfortable questions for a party that justifies its monopoly on power by pointing to its origins as a movement of workers and peasants.

But I am sure our communists can do it better.

As the last couple months have chugged along we (at least here in the north) have seen the weather transform from warm and pleasant to cold and annoying with the threat of the worst is yet to come. It will be a long and messy slog...

In these last couple months we have been witness to what can be loosely described as a live social test study, an experiment, in civilization under the merging ideologies of socialism/communism and anarchy. Once again, both have failed. Even in joining forces they still fail ... this time their own willing participants are the victims, some with their lives. I see people citing "Lord of The Flies" to describe the Occupy squatters' communities. But I think it goes deeper than that. These are not immature children. These are adults, most higher-educated in colleges, as we saw from the signs griping over student loan debt. The subjects in the William Golding story did not choose to throw-off the real world and build their own society. They were thrust into it, and seek to recreate what they left behind. The Occupy areas are filled with people who simply just don't like the real world they live in, so, they believe they have removed themselves from it and are building the utopia their liberal college professors and leftist philosophy authors designed and promised. However, what they are finding really is close to the end results of the Golding story.

The opposing dynamics of the two groups are obvious. The children in the fictional story discovered that simply acting like adults with laws and restrictions, without the real world experience of failure and success in order to make wise judgements to enable peaceful coexistence, was impossible ... It was no more than a dangerous game. The Occupiers are discovering that their united abstract ideals of anti-responsibility, anti-establishment, anti-structure, anti-accomplishment, and total childlike communal sharing eventually brings out the individual primal self-centered and self-serving messiness not tolerated in a structured society, even with all its imperfections. The stronger not only get their way, but get the rest to acquiesce and to believe it is best for the collective in order to keep the false peace. This too shall play out through a long and messy slog...

Right now the MSM is in a state of outrage over the systemic failure of a college coach/athletic department/college administration NOT taking action and properly reporting child rape inside their tight-knit 'community' ... But the same MSM, that has praised and promoted this "99% - Occupy" farce not only refuses to condemn the anti-social and completely lawless anarchy that this movement has morphed into, but blatantly refuses to report on it. What is in this video, this one woman speaking, and those women standing around 'up-twinkliing' their fingers in agreement, have dragged REAL 'feminism' back not decades, but perhaps, at the very least, a century...

Both Penn State University and the Occupy movement sought/seek to cover up and ignore the most base of cruel and degrading violations of other human beings in order to protect their own community's image and agenda. The individuals are expendable for the cause. And (not so) oddly, when the truth of the social debauchery is revealed it results in rioting.

I am beyond disgusted at the state this country is in right now. Both the Occupy and the PSU abominations CAN be directly traced back to the failures of our universities. And the MSM ... Well, they have their own community's image and agenda to protect, dontcha know.

Yeah, I said it. Anyhow, it will be a long and messy slog...

Cuba, to encourage tourism and to cover up the true nature of their criminal dictatorship, pretends to promote sustainable urban development to the politically correct blind to reality eco-idiots. The official architect, titled executive and scientific secretary at the 14th International Convention on Territorial and Urban Development held in Havana declares:

When undertaking urban renewal, we must be careful not to damage the environment and the image of our cities. To this end, we must respect and abide by building codes, he continued. Despite 76 percent of Cuban territory is urban, forum participants called for more stimulus to rural areas, since agriculture is indispensable for the national food production sector.

Building codes? What building codes? Ask residents of ciudad centro about building codes. I doubt these are on the official Havana architectural tour:

Not to mention the dwellings of those not on the official housing recipient list:

The official statement, even when programmed for an international audience, or perhaps because of, can't help but reveal the truth:

In this spirit, the architect urged people to become more aware on the importance of responsible and organized urban development. He also called for implementing more efficient control mechanisms to ensure all building operations are carried out in compliance with established regulations. (My emphasis)

Speaking of regulations and food production, I wonder, is eating lobster in Cuba still a crime?

Here is an idea...

If the #OWS does not disband their squatters' encampment within a week, and clean up after themselves on their way out, then the private owner of the Zuccotti Park (who has connections to Obama and and "green energy loans") that has welcomed the interlopers and pressured the mayor and city officials NOT to remove the growing group early on, should be charged by the city for any loitering penalties that would be normally put upon each individual squatter, fines for having such an obvious violation for non-permit issuance for such an extended and consistent gathering, litter and noise fines, fines for the land being used as a residence when it is not zoned as such, and be forced to clean and renovate the park grounds to an original aesthetically acceptable state comparable to its appearance prior to the onslaught of human sloth and waste or be fined and charged for the city to make it so. Also, the individual businesses along the park should file a class action suit against the park owners for financial losses and any duress incurred over the last couple months of this obstruction on that part of New York City. But they won't...

"As an old friend of Trotsky’s might ask: What is to be done?"

To be sure, the protesters’ First Amendment rights should be respected — during the waking hours, and given the appropriate permits, they should be allowed to peaceably protest until Trotsky himself rises like Lazarus from the grave. But so too should the laws of the land, the rights of the property owners in Lower Manhattan, and the exigencies of reality be respected. To that end the city of New York should raze the tent city in Zuccotti Park and close the space each night, so that the area might be effectively cleaned and efficiently policed, and so that the occupied might get some sleep, too.

The more difficult question is how to accomplish this. It is plain that the occupiers are breaking the park’s posted rules, which explicitly prohibit “camping and/or the erection of tents or other structures” and loitering in a way that “interferes with the use of” the park by others. It is also clear that their continued presence is a magnet for grift and violence and a growing threat to public safety. Though the park’s owner, Brookfield Office Properties, is required, per the original development deal with the city, to keep Zuccotti open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, city zoning code does contain provisions whereby it can move to shut it down if that “closing is necessary for public safety.” If the political will existed, the eviction of the occupiers could thus be undertaken righteously. But the political class’s early decision to indulge the OWS set and the park’s ambiguous public/private status have Brookfield and Mayor Bloomberg deferring to each other. Bloomberg’s line has been that he can’t enforce the rules unless Brookfield asks him to. Brookfield’s line has been that they will follow the mayor’s lead.

And what of the residents and business owners around Zuccotti? Thus far, the members of Community Board 1, who nominally represent them, have been less than robust in addressing the situation: By a vote of 33–3 the board passed a flowery resolution in support of the squatters, and the greatest concession it has managed to secure in ongoing talks with the umpteen “working groups” at OWS is an informal agreement that the latter’s infamous percussionists would limit their drumming to a few hours each day. The obsequiousness has to this point continued up the line: Lower Manhattan’s city councilwoman, assemblyman, and state senator, along with borough president Scott Stringer, and even U.S. Rep. Jerry Nadler have for weeks presented a united front in hedging between representing the concerns of their constituents and flattering the gauzy generalities of a group of no-account out-of-towners.

THIS is what socialism/communism looks like, kids. It is not the one-like-minded utopia you have been fed. They gather the collective, and then they lay down the alternating rules/laws, and define "truth" and "reality" at any given moment to fit their agenda and need. It is why you are called useful idiots. There are enough people living in the USA from the former USSR and Eastern Europe, and the current Communist Cuba to pick their brains about how this wonderful life under socialism/communism works. You were led to the gathering of the hive, and now you are no more than personal rights/private life eunuch worker drones for the collective to rule and roll. It might be a wake-up call for a small percentage of young mush minds of ideology that started this trek through a new world order, but perhaps a start. Lesson #1: Don't be some idiot to a cause.

It is so hard to grab a really great sample from this Patriot Post piece, so I strongly suggest a full read...

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If 'Thou shalt not covet' and 'Thou shalt not steal' were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free." --John Adams, 1787

[...]

The intellectually challenged Occupy morons have built their movement around the errant assertion that if the assets of the 1 Percent were entirely redistributed, everyone would live happily ever after. Unfortunately, what the 35 Percenters really want, "redistributive justice" as Obama calls it, would require the redistribution of income from the other 65 percent of Americans families who live on earned income, so that everyone could be equally impoverished.

Of course, there's a problem with liquidating the assets of the 1 percent (comprised of more celebs and pro athletes than Wall Street bankers), or even the top 25 percent of the so-called rich: Most of their assets are on paper, and the rest of that "wealth" is in the form of small businesses and real property that support the jobs of tens of millions of Americans who actually work for a living -- and take pride in their occupations.

Thus, liquidation would result in the collapse of the entire economy, leaving everyone under the same statist tyranny as Obama's 35 Percenters -- equally miserable, equally dependent upon the government, and that much closer to Obama's mandate to implement Democratic Socialism.

Fact is, socialist economies always fail. In the inimitable words of former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, "Socialist governments ... always run out of other people's money. They then start to nationalize everything."

Of course, socialists never let reality intrude upon their classist fantasies of universal equality and happiness. Nineteenth-century historian Alexis de Tocqueville once observed, "Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude."

Read in full...

The drawback to being somebody's/something's useful idiot is you are the first to be expendable, no matter what level you are operating at. You are dangerous to the cause, because if the confused masses see you turn against the cause those undecided masses will then be enlightened.

How popular is this socialist (yes, it is what it is) movement in the city streets?

Poll: OWS least popular among lower income groups

Poll: Voters Viewing Occupy Wall St. Unfavorably

And a footnote to my late night post regarding Oakland. I think it is getting to the point where we will soon say Oakland is not "occupied" but has been invaded and taken over. The mayor of Oakland is a major failure to the citizens of that city. I pity the Oakland cops. This ain’t nothin’ yet. It’ll get worse. They will be torn between their union and their duty… and their own private property and families’ safety as residents of the city. I wonder if it would be possible for the city to impeach the mayor… just a thought for future reference. If anything, all this will be pre-made political ads for the person who will challenge her in the next election.

I want to hear the MSM try to spin this as somebody else's fault, other than the squatters and those bussing in to assist them, and try to sell to the American people how it's just a couple bad apples in the bunch.
Funny thing about arrests and public records, there is some interesting information to be gleaned within. Given that, to date, the arrests of #OWS participants in the various squatter locations around the country has pushed past the 3000 mark as of last night, there is room for growth in that respect, especially since it is not all being disclosed to the public. You might like to know some of those poor drowning-in-college-debt former coeds, that majored in BS classes/courses and entered the real world to discover there are few, if any, jobs for their college majors reside at hardly squalor class addresses ...

Many “Occupy Wall Street” protesters arrested in New York City reside in more luxurious homes than some of their rhetoric might suggest, a Daily Caller investigation has found.

For each of the 984 Occupy Wall Street protesters arrested in New York City between September 18 and October 15, police collected and filed an information sheet recording the arrestee’s name, age, sex, criminal charge, home address and — in most cases — race. The Daily Caller has obtained all of this information from a source in the New York City government.

Among addresses for which information is available, single-family homes listed on those police intake forms have a median value of $305,000 — a far higher number than the $185,400 median value of owner-occupied housing units in the United States.

Some of the homes where “Occupy” arrestees reside, viewed through Google Maps and the Multiple Listing Service real estate database, are the definition of opulence.

Using county assessors and online resources such as Zillow.com, TheDC estimated property values and rents for 87 percent of the homes and 59 percent of the apartments listed in the arrest records.

Even in the nation’s currently depressed housing market, at least 95 of the protesters’ residences are worth approximately $500,000 or more. (RELATED SLIDESHOW: Opulent homes of the ’99 percent’)

The median monthly rent for those living in apartments whose information is readily available is $1,850.

Of the 984 protesters arrested, at least 797 are white. The median age of “Occupy” protesters taken into custody is 27 years.

Ten demonstrators were arrested more than once. The vast majority of the arrests, it should be noted, were for nonviolent offenses.

The arrest intake documents show that arrestees came to New York from all over the country but particularly from the Northeast.

However, that's okay, according to a really rich fat cat that desires to be a hero to the #OWS, who says you CAN be "rich" and be part of the useless #OWS and still gripe about the rich. But remember, you cannot be "rich" and have any part in the TEA Party movement. See how that works?

And to fill-in the empty spots on the evening news footage the busted and rebranded ACORN is paying homeless folks to join the squatters:

NYC's Mayor Bloomberg now has a major mess on his hands after nearly two months of appeasing and acquiescing to this pocket of vile and useless invasion within one of the busiest areas of the city...

Mayor Bloomberg struck a tougher tone with the Occupy Wall Street protestors Wednesday - and said the city might be forced to "take actions" at Zuccotti Park.

Bloomberg said the city must listen to the residents and business owners near the protest site who are starting to loudly complain about the demonstrators.

"This isn't an occupation of Wall Street," Bloomberg told reporters. "It's an occupation of a growing, vibrant residential neighborhood in Lower Manhattan and it's really hurting small businesses and families."

Yes, one business that was thriving and offering a great service to other WORKING PEOPLE in the area has had to dump 21 employees onto the growing unemployment lines as a consequence of the endless Occupy Wall Street squatting ... partly from the squatters and partly because of the actions of inaction from the city officials. So, I guess that fits in, somehow, with #OWS-supporting Obama and his plan to help create more jobs ... how?

Not to be outdone, the Mayor of Oakland, California, who had that city's crime-ridden squatter enclave cleared out in dramatic form but let them back in, is now calling for city employees, including the police, to join the ranks of the squatting dregs. As you might suspect, if you have even half an ounce of common sense, you too will understand how the Oakland police are not only confused but a bit miffed over this.

Oh, and the late term addition of supporters/joiners to the #OWS comes from Planned Parenthood ... of course. Meanwhile, more Ivory Tower input meant to buck-up the #OWS meme in the way of "The New Declaration of Independence".

Bonus material for this post: Part 2 of Stephen Colbert's interview with #OWS heads Justin and Ketchup is below the fold ... He makes a lame "Cubans" reference near the end of his shtick.

The little Chinese girl Yue Yue passed away a few days ago. The bloody stain she left behind on China is a stark example of the stripping away of even the most basic humanity within the perfect structure of Communism and its control through fear. China, in this modern technology/internet world they find themselves entering into with their current economic dabbling into world capitalism, has its devaluation of life exposed, even beyond the decades of the West knowing the moral debacle of their "one child" law.

British paper The Daily Mail UK puts a spin on the whole horrific incident by trying to portray Chinese society's disregard for the toddler as a result of China's newly found "materialism" in China's economic boom, even going so far as to play the class warfare card here...

As a result people in China called upon the government to introduce a 'Good Samaritan law' to punish passersby who refuse to help people in need.

The case triggered a furor across the nation, which questioned how such callousness could occur - with some blaming it a descent into an 'immoral modern society'.

China's economic boom and *the growing disparity between the rich and poor have made changing social values a contentious topic, with some lamenting what they see as materialism replacing morals.

* Sound familiar? Is the Daily Mail hinting at such human disregard on the horizon of the world's most capitalist nation? Those who sit comfortably in their campus coffee huts, with every opportunity for individual growth and success in their reach, and have never actually lived within that which they espouse are the most amoral in a moral society.

"Morals"? There is nothing more amoral on the face of the planet than totalitarian fascist communism. Some 100 million deaths, and counting ... most recently a tiny girl and a freedom fighter armed with nothing more than the truth. China discarded morality for its people over 60 years ago (by immoral means) and replaced it with unflinching and unquestioning servitude. Those of us on the outside looking in are afforded the view of immorality because we are permitted to gauge with our ingrained humanity, value for human life and human rights. Communism is completely void of all of that.

In over 62 years the Chinese people had been literally beaten, bullied, and murdered into submission to the imposed system of Communism that has no room for, or tolerance of, such individual thought and human instinct. In order to do this the generations of Chinese people had to throw off their individuality and self-centered human urges and values in order to move as the obedient collective. Every aspect of life and thought of mind has been dictated by the state. Now, in the blinding exposure of a child's death, the Chinese government must look to blame anyone but themselves, and scold the citizenry for what they, the state, has fermented in six decades of cruelty upon the people they rule ...

One local Communist party chief urged 'searching reflection' over the incident, according to the official Guangzhou Daily.

'Take active and effective steps to raise the moral standards of the entire society,' he told a meeting of province officials.

Wang Yang, a top official, told a high-level provincial meeting that the tragedy of Yue Yue should be a 'wake-up call' for society and that such incidents should not be allowed to occur again.

'We should look into the ugliness in ourselves with a dagger of conscience and bite the soul-searching bullet.'

Many people in China are hesitant to help people who appear to be in distress for fear that they will be blamed.

However, The Daily Mail then goes on to point out all the great things the Communist Chinese government has done for its people ... I guess to make this single death a small part of the full context, or something...

Despite its current social conditions, the Chinese government can point to some positive achievements, having lifted 400 million out of poverty to create a new middle class living in modern high rises in futuristic cities and peasants finding new lives in the factory boom towns.

The vast majority of Chinese are literate and many well educated. Many are poor but none are starving.

I think starvation can be directly subject to who is doing the actual starving ... Don't you? I mean, I am sure, say, the Castros firmly attest the Cuban people aren't starving. Hey, we would hear about it from those conscientious Hollywood types that travel there and are so fully knowledgeable of the Communist country.

As easy as it would be, I cannot blame the Chinese people in the street that day. This is a society that cannot move without permission or a law, and if they do they fear facing the repercussions from the state. China's answer now, outside the speculated legislating of "a good Samaritan law" is to throw money at those directly involved in little Yue Yue's brief life displayed to the world. This blood is on China's hands. The priceless sacrifice is theirs...

Not surprisingly the MSM refuses to cover the actual "Occupy Wall Street" doings that, in all reality, are so far outside the slobbery and fawning fictional Hollywood 'revolution' romance quality of news coverage they have been spinning. Theft within the squatter community itself, vandalizing of property and bullying of private businesses that are trying to protect themselves from the disrespectful freeloaders, and also rape are being minimized, if not completely buried in the coverage. NONE of which do I recall EVER being reported at (and you know the MSM would have) from TEA Party rallies since their inception a couple years ago.

But given the blog universe is pretty much the raw facts news media right now, these stories are getting out in spite of the lying dino-MSM, and the different OWS sects (due to their origin in big cities throughout the country) are trying to make themselves appear in control of their situations. Look at what they are assuming to do now:

Efforts by the Occupy Baltimore protest group to evolve into a self-contained, self-governing community have erupted into controversy with the distribution of a pamphlet that victim advocates and health workers fear discourages victims of sexual assaults from contacting police.

The pamphlet says that members of the protest group who believe they are victims or who suspect sexual abuse "are encouraged to immediately report the incident to the Security Committee," which will investigate and "supply the abuser with counseling resources."

Yeah, that'll work...

The directive also says, in part, "Though we do not encourage the involvement of the police in our community, the survivor has every right, and the support of Occupy Baltimore, to report the abuse to the appropriate authorities."

Despite this caveat, the heads of three rape crisis centers and a nurse who runs the forensic division at Mercy Medical Center called the message about not involving police dangerous. They said it contains erroneous information that could undermine efforts to convince victims to properly report crimes and get the counseling they need.

"It might actually passively prevent someone from seeking justice," said Jacqueline Robarge, the executive director of Power Inside, a nonprofit support group that helps women who have been victimized.

The hodgepodge of anti-establishment activists who have erected a tent city at the Inner Harbor as part of the broader Occupy Wall Street movement are trying to develop their own rules of conduct, developed through committees and approved by a general assembly.

"I understand that they want to transform themselves," Robarge said. "But they have to do that in the context of our culture and community. … We're talking about people's lives here."

The "security statement" appears to be one of several attempts to govern what the memo calls "our newly forming, delicate yet strong community."

Meanwhile: You can add the NorKs to the growing list of support and champions for the OWS movement in this country.

Yes, there are the usual union goons trying to figure out how to get OWS to do the bidding of the AFL-CIO and the Democratic party, and the usual smattering of New Age goo (the “Free Empathy” table) and po-mo Left wackiness (animal-rights nuts), the inevitable Let’s-Eradicate-Israel crowd (“Free Palestine, from the river to the sea!”). But, that being said, almost every organized enterprise and piece of printed material I have encountered has been socialist or communist. It’s been a long time since I saw anybody peddling books by Lenin.
Yesterday in a discussion in <a href="http://babalublog.com/2011/10/when-they-believe-they-are-entitled-to-everything/"target="_blank">comments on my previous post I expressed a stark difference between "politeness" and "consideration". Politeness is a means by which civil control can be expected, imposed, or even demanded. Politeness can be used as a protection defense (step on the mean guy's toe and immediately you apologize) or an offensive weapon ("killing with kindness" ... calmly saying "thank you" when you're really saying something else inside your head). Consideration is an individual responsibility involving a private and personal thought process that regards individual human relationships, the quality of interaction and communication, and the end results therein.

Historically, when Communism has taken over a society a politeness has been imposed by the state. No one is to speak out against the government, resist, or even leave without penalty of physical punishment, imprisonment, and even death ... or, at the very least, re-education using the previous three mentioned as tools to remove the personal and private thought process and feelings of the individual. <a href="http://babalublog.com/2011/10/cuba-shattering-records-for-repression/"target="_blank">Cuba's repression through street beatings of innocent and unarmed women, and imprisonment and beatings of those who refuse to accept the apartheid. The Killing Fields outside the re-education camps of the Khmer Rouge. North Korea's imprisoning and starvation of its people. And then there is China...

If you saw the 1987 movie <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Emperor"target="_blank">"The Last Emperor" you saw the transformation of China into The People's Republic of China, the Communist state. It follows the life of Puyi, the last Emperor of China from opulence and complete accommodation from a staff and country that afforded the imposed politeness to his rule, to Puyi's years-long imprisonment in a Communist re-education facility until he (and the entire country) submitted to their every demand and was released into the coldly and cruelly polite Communist Chinese society. Decades and decades later China has become the perfect definition of all Communism is intended to be.

In the last ten years I have seen raw videos of violent cruelty of terrorist ideologies and Sharia Law punishments. All have been horrific and unacceptable in a civilization, most especially in a 21st century world. However, the video of a two year old Chinese girl wandering into a street and being run over multiple times by two trucks and the following footage leaves me breathless. As she lay broken, smashed, bleeding, and at one point struggling in the street the security camera video shows over a dozen people walking by her, barely giving her a glance as they passed, showing no concern. Humanity reduced to roadkill. Some speculate it is partly the Chinese devaluation of female babies/children in a society/government imposed one child rule added to the polite disregard of a helpless female toddler smashed into the pavement of a public thoroughfare not much wider than an alley where humans were parading through during a normal business day. It is the most perfect Communist de-humanization success I have ever seen. Finally one person sees the motionless baby and drags her out of the middle of the street and walks away. A moment later her mother appears and carries the limp baby away (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqVYUzHc5L8&feature=player_embedded"target="_blank">Full graphic video) ...

But what I find even more disturbing, if possible, is <a href="http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/usa/china/2011-10/18/content_13924846.htm"target="_blank">the Chinese government's reaction in the wake of the growing international attention to this:

Civilization office of Foshan’s Nanhai district on Monday presented 10,000 yuan ($1,570) to Chen Xianmei, a rubbish collector who offered aid to Yue Yue after the incident happened, as a reward for her kind deed, China Daily reported.

Meanwhile, a company in Foshan said that they will donate 50,000 yuan to Yue Yue’s family and the rescuer respectively.

“Besides the reward, we would like to offer Chen a job with stable income so as to encourage this kind of activity,” said an anonymous assistant manager at the company.

Got it? The government is not only dictating what is acceptable civilized and human behavior, but rewarding the woman who dragged the dying baby out of the road. Can you imagine?!? The people of China have to be rewarded for doing something that you or I would have instinctually and frantically done ... and MORE?? But why is this a big deal? Once again it goes back to the results of <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2011/10/nanjing-judge-blamed-for-apathy-in-toddlers-hit-and-run/"target="_blank">the Communist government's previous actions:

The most popular regional paper The NanFang Daily wrote an editorial about “gathering the scraps of China’s conscience.”

With the introspection comes who or what to blame for the degradation of “Chinese morality” and there seems to be a consensus about the perceived source of the current state of apathy. One netizen wrote, “Don’t blame the passersby; it was a Nanjing judge that killed this little girl.” [...]*

The “Nanjing judge” refers to an infamous 2006 incident where a young man named Peng Yu went to the aid of an elderly woman who had fallen down on the street in the eastern city of Nanjing. At the woman’s request, Peng helped take her to the hospital only to have the woman turn around and accuse him for being the person who knocked her down. A Nanjing judge then ruled that “common sense” suggested that Peng only took the woman to the hospital because he was guilty and ordered him to pay her medical expenses.

* Last I read the toddler was still barely alive in a hospital.

Someone in comments on the <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2011/10/nanjing-judge-blamed-for-apathy-in-toddlers-hit-and-run/"target="_blank">ABC News link cautions not to blame the Chinese government for what the individuals did (didn't do). The person making the comment fails to realize there is no individualism in the fearful collective of Communism. No humanity. It is the ultimate success of the previous generations' Communist re-education. Other Communist countries must be envious...

Back on track here ...

Early on, Obama tickled the idea of directly and outwardly supporting the OWS movement. Yesterday, at the dedication ceremony for the new MLK Jr. monument (designed and made in China) in Washington DC, Obama spoke on behalf of MLK saying he knows the civil rights leader would have supported the OWS. Okay...

Now, as he boards the bus (made in Canada) to make a non-campaign campaign tour to push his bipartisan rejected 'jobs bill' Mr. Obama tells the 99%ers he is fighting for them:

The White House continued its embrace of the Occupy Wall Street protests on Sunday, using the strongest terms yet to identify President Barack Obama with the growing movement.

In a call previewing Obama's upcoming bus tour through North Carolina and Virginia, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama "will continue to acknowledge the frustration that he himself shares," about Washington's laggard response to the financial crisis.

Earnest added that while on the trip, Obama will make it clear that he is fighting to make certain that the "interests of 99 percent of Americans are well represented" — the first time the White House has used the term to differentiate the vast majority of Americans from the wealthy.

Maybe Obama's just ginning up the base that got him elected in 2008, but now feels ignored because he's not fundamentally transformed the USA into the change they hoped for at breakneck speed in his first 1000 days. But not to worry. While Obama muses that he feels their pain, the heavy water for this revolución is being, and will continue to be, crafted and carried by the ever loyal MSM. However, as more and more of the voting American public wake up to exactly what is occupying this movement, I doubt it will be a wise political move for re-election. Given Obama's proclivity for self-preservation in the last three years when things/people he has aligned himself with went sour, I wonder how long, and how bad the reason, before the OWS will get thrown under that Canadian-made Obama tour bus.
