Given my late night heavy last night this caught my eye today. Chock-full of tongue-in-cheek (and a sprinkling of colorful language and racy metaphor) , but peppered with a lot of truth of the 5 ways the Occupy Wall Street Generation was ruined.

This is good...

See, we were raised on 1980s movies and sitcoms, and the "cold, unfeeling grownup who works too hard" was the villain in half of them. The whole point of these "body switching" comedies -- where a kid winds up in the body of a grownup -- was that the career-driven workaholic dad learned what life was really all about. The message was clear: If you work too hard, you'll lose your soul.

The characters who worked their asses off were shown to be stiff prudes who come down on the lighthearted main character with an iron fist. Or maybe that person is the main character, but by the end they realize that the only way to truly enjoy life is to lighten up and embrace their inner child. They finally stand up and quit their grindstone job in a hail of applause, and live a life of stress free bliss. As a side note, at some point, those people had to urinate ... so the little kid trapped in the dad's body...

Yeah, goes into some colorful language and racy metaphor right there, so go to the link and read the whole article for a much needed laugh. I think you will find yourself seeing the truth behind the snarking. After reading it I came to the conclusion the #OWS movement is useful idiots abuse.

Leading up to this year's Cuba Nostalgia, there was some speculation whether or not our fearless Managing Editor, Alberto "El Sangrador" de la Cruz would once again prove his willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice for our island on the net without a bearded dictator.

He didn't lose a drop all weekend, but alas, when we dismantled the noble Babalú structure Monday morning, Alberto once again made the sacrifice.

We're not sure how it happened, but as Val and Al were busy working (I was supervising) suddenly, Al was bleeding.

Just as we were considering calling MedEvac, Al was able to stem the flow so we could, ahem, judge the severity of the wound.

I'm happy to report that the patient survived, and is diligently back at work exposing the brutality of the Castro regime.

The alleged stockpile of primo-porn might be part of the reason for the stag parties at UBL's Paki crib. Well, probably not ... But it would make for a good laugh line in an SNL sketch.

Finally! 60 degrees here in North East Ohio today ... Lots of mud, but no snow. Even the plowed mountains have pretty much melted away. I had just looked in my front landscaping two days ago for my crocus, but nary a pointy green head was poking through the leaf residue from Fall. And here they are today on St. Paddy's Day! All green and purple and yellow ... and GREEN! Just screaming for attention. And if you look carefully you will see amid the petals of the yellow crocus flower in the bottom right ... that's a fly. By the looks of the green leaves at the bottom left the wild strawberries will be invading the landscaping again this summer.

The other morning my son-in-law had let their dog out before he left for work. The dumb mutt didn't come back. He alerted my daughter, (who was not yet up for work), that the dog was gone, but he was running late from looking for him. He left, and she crawled out of bed with a flashlight to hunt their cul-de-sac for the dog. Half the way through she stopped dead in her tracks as no less than eight doe, of varying ages, crossed in front of her in the pre-dawn dark. She looked up to see the big buck watching from a thicket of trees on the edge of the woods that surround their new development. (Yes, I know Humberto would have run back to his house for his gun right then ...) There came the little fat dummy of a dog yapping as he chased after the doe. That same day the darned squirrels and birds were twitterpating in my backyard (ALWAYS in MY backyard!).

I should charge them by the hour ...

Disappointed in the Superbowl ads this year. But we all were rolling over this one at my son-in-law's Superbowl party.

It IS my 5 yr. old Grandson Mickey ... The kid runs around in his various 'hero' costumes (usually Transformers, and accessorized with whatever sunglasses and whatnots he feels adds to the strength and weapons of the character he's portraying) and his commanding of everyone and everything that finds itself in his path.

When the dad 'messed' with him at the end everyone turned and pointed at me ...

I'd forgotten about the Snickers ad. Not bad, but was better at the end when Roseanne Barr was hit by a tree-sized log. The women's groups should be out in full-force yelling about it tomorrow.

Oh, and the gal from "Glee" did a beautiful job on America The Beautiful. She should have segued from it and went right into the Star Spangled Banner. Christina Aguilera should have known better, she’s had experience with this song. Christina used to sing the National Anthem at Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games as a young girl. She should have known better. This is NOT a song you make about yourself or your style. It is a song that proves you can step out of yourself and deliver something in and of itself. She should have known better. It stunk ...
