The left and democrats always claim to be the party of total inclusion and "a natural home for minorities", while, allegedly, the republicans have a very segregated tent. And when a conservative minority individual points out how it is not so natural, but a process of conditioning and even "brainwashing", they are also attacked. Yet, the liberal/left concept of "race" identity seems to end when an individual does not have the hive mind set. Now conservative Republican Sen. Marco Rubio is being told by a Latino group to choose between his heritage and his political views...

(SF Gate) — Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is at the top of every pundit’s short list to be the Republican vice presidential nominee, in the belief that having a Latino in the second spot on the ticket will attract Latino voters who have been fleeing the GOP in recent years.

But today at the Hispanic Leadership Network conference in Miami, the Berkeley organization Presente Action is launching a national anti-Rubio campaign during his big moment in the national spotlight, days before Tuesday’s critical Florida primary.

Their assertion, backed by recent surveys, is that Rubio’s positions on several key issues, immigration in particular, are far from the mainstream of the Latino electorate.

So Presente, a 3-year-old, 250,000-member online hub that aims to be “the Latino MoveOn.org” is aiming its campaign at the senator who is a Tea Party darling. The campaign’s name: “No somos Rubios.” (“We are not Rubios.”)

“Rubio has to decide,” said Presente Action co-founder and strategist Roberto Lovato, “if he’s a Latino or a Tea Partino.”

Here is an idea...

If the #OWS does not disband their squatters' encampment within a week, and clean up after themselves on their way out, then the private owner of the Zuccotti Park (who has connections to Obama and and "green energy loans") that has welcomed the interlopers and pressured the mayor and city officials NOT to remove the growing group early on, should be charged by the city for any loitering penalties that would be normally put upon each individual squatter, fines for having such an obvious violation for non-permit issuance for such an extended and consistent gathering, litter and noise fines, fines for the land being used as a residence when it is not zoned as such, and be forced to clean and renovate the park grounds to an original aesthetically acceptable state comparable to its appearance prior to the onslaught of human sloth and waste or be fined and charged for the city to make it so. Also, the individual businesses along the park should file a class action suit against the park owners for financial losses and any duress incurred over the last couple months of this obstruction on that part of New York City. But they won't...

"As an old friend of Trotsky’s might ask: What is to be done?"

To be sure, the protesters’ First Amendment rights should be respected — during the waking hours, and given the appropriate permits, they should be allowed to peaceably protest until Trotsky himself rises like Lazarus from the grave. But so too should the laws of the land, the rights of the property owners in Lower Manhattan, and the exigencies of reality be respected. To that end the city of New York should raze the tent city in Zuccotti Park and close the space each night, so that the area might be effectively cleaned and efficiently policed, and so that the occupied might get some sleep, too.

The more difficult question is how to accomplish this. It is plain that the occupiers are breaking the park’s posted rules, which explicitly prohibit “camping and/or the erection of tents or other structures” and loitering in a way that “interferes with the use of” the park by others. It is also clear that their continued presence is a magnet for grift and violence and a growing threat to public safety. Though the park’s owner, Brookfield Office Properties, is required, per the original development deal with the city, to keep Zuccotti open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, city zoning code does contain provisions whereby it can move to shut it down if that “closing is necessary for public safety.” If the political will existed, the eviction of the occupiers could thus be undertaken righteously. But the political class’s early decision to indulge the OWS set and the park’s ambiguous public/private status have Brookfield and Mayor Bloomberg deferring to each other. Bloomberg’s line has been that he can’t enforce the rules unless Brookfield asks him to. Brookfield’s line has been that they will follow the mayor’s lead.

And what of the residents and business owners around Zuccotti? Thus far, the members of Community Board 1, who nominally represent them, have been less than robust in addressing the situation: By a vote of 33–3 the board passed a flowery resolution in support of the squatters, and the greatest concession it has managed to secure in ongoing talks with the umpteen “working groups” at OWS is an informal agreement that the latter’s infamous percussionists would limit their drumming to a few hours each day. The obsequiousness has to this point continued up the line: Lower Manhattan’s city councilwoman, assemblyman, and state senator, along with borough president Scott Stringer, and even U.S. Rep. Jerry Nadler have for weeks presented a united front in hedging between representing the concerns of their constituents and flattering the gauzy generalities of a group of no-account out-of-towners.

THIS is what socialism/communism looks like, kids. It is not the one-like-minded utopia you have been fed. They gather the collective, and then they lay down the alternating rules/laws, and define "truth" and "reality" at any given moment to fit their agenda and need. It is why you are called useful idiots. There are enough people living in the USA from the former USSR and Eastern Europe, and the current Communist Cuba to pick their brains about how this wonderful life under socialism/communism works. You were led to the gathering of the hive, and now you are no more than personal rights/private life eunuch worker drones for the collective to rule and roll. It might be a wake-up call for a small percentage of young mush minds of ideology that started this trek through a new world order, but perhaps a start. Lesson #1: Don't be some idiot to a cause.

It is so hard to grab a really great sample from this Patriot Post piece, so I strongly suggest a full read...

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If 'Thou shalt not covet' and 'Thou shalt not steal' were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free." --John Adams, 1787

[...]

The intellectually challenged Occupy morons have built their movement around the errant assertion that if the assets of the 1 Percent were entirely redistributed, everyone would live happily ever after. Unfortunately, what the 35 Percenters really want, "redistributive justice" as Obama calls it, would require the redistribution of income from the other 65 percent of Americans families who live on earned income, so that everyone could be equally impoverished.

Of course, there's a problem with liquidating the assets of the 1 percent (comprised of more celebs and pro athletes than Wall Street bankers), or even the top 25 percent of the so-called rich: Most of their assets are on paper, and the rest of that "wealth" is in the form of small businesses and real property that support the jobs of tens of millions of Americans who actually work for a living -- and take pride in their occupations.

Thus, liquidation would result in the collapse of the entire economy, leaving everyone under the same statist tyranny as Obama's 35 Percenters -- equally miserable, equally dependent upon the government, and that much closer to Obama's mandate to implement Democratic Socialism.

Fact is, socialist economies always fail. In the inimitable words of former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, "Socialist governments ... always run out of other people's money. They then start to nationalize everything."

Of course, socialists never let reality intrude upon their classist fantasies of universal equality and happiness. Nineteenth-century historian Alexis de Tocqueville once observed, "Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude."

Read in full...

The drawback to being somebody's/something's useful idiot is you are the first to be expendable, no matter what level you are operating at. You are dangerous to the cause, because if the confused masses see you turn against the cause those undecided masses will then be enlightened.

How popular is this socialist (yes, it is what it is) movement in the city streets?

Poll: OWS least popular among lower income groups

Poll: Voters Viewing Occupy Wall St. Unfavorably

And a footnote to my late night post regarding Oakland. I think it is getting to the point where we will soon say Oakland is not "occupied" but has been invaded and taken over. The mayor of Oakland is a major failure to the citizens of that city. I pity the Oakland cops. This ain’t nothin’ yet. It’ll get worse. They will be torn between their union and their duty… and their own private property and families’ safety as residents of the city. I wonder if it would be possible for the city to impeach the mayor… just a thought for future reference. If anything, all this will be pre-made political ads for the person who will challenge her in the next election.

Make no mistake, a large percentage of these constant squatters are professional anarchist protesters, much the same that travel the world to make trouble at the G-Summits.
The mayor of Oakland needs to be held accountable for this by the citizens of Oakland and the business there.
I want to hear the MSM try to spin this as somebody else's fault, other than the squatters and those bussing in to assist them, and try to sell to the American people how it's just a couple bad apples in the bunch. They had better think long and hard before saying the words "Occupy" and TEA Party in the same breath ever again...

In the last few weeks only the blogs have exposed the anti-Semitic/anti-Jews videos and photos of the vocal rhetoric and signs evident in the crowd known as "Occupy Wall Street" (with satellite protests throughout other major cities in the country). Here is the latest on video. What is even more chilling is the woman in the video claims she works with a school district in Los Angeles:

Ed Driscoll of PJM has more background on this nasty little fact, as does Abe Greewald of Contentions.

But remember, the TEA Party is racist. Clearly given the two 'movements' and gauging how the media has covered and portrayed them, the MSM has been and is being very dishonest on both counts ... and perhaps even dangerous, as we watch and listen to MSNBC's Donny Deutsch go completely unchallenged when he pines for an extreme pivotal moment with the OWS to take it to the next grown-up level...

Imagine if somebody on FOX had contemplated on the air and said something like this, but with the TEA Party movement.

He doesn't want this to come out the wrong way??? There is no other way for that meaning to come out. I was a kid living not far from Kent State University when that happened. My uncle was a student on the campus ... in a wheel chair. What most people do not know is that the Kent State shooting wasn't just some one day event. The SDS and other Weather Underground groups had been in the city of Kent for roughly a week prior to that day, doing pretty much what the OWS is doing on Wall Street. The streets were trashed. Businesses abused and even vandalized. The interloping groups that had bussed into Kent from across the country taunted and egged on the local police, and the National Guard, hoping for violence. The situation is very similar right now on Wall Street. These are hired, trained, and astroturfed groups, with some usually ignored street locals joining in for the attention and scraps thrown to them. To this day the left and the media lie about the entire context of the Kent State University shootings

These people at MSNBC are insane ... This man, Donny Deutsch, is wealthy by most standards, and he's armchair quarterbacking class warfare with this crowd ... suggesting violence ... from a seat at the news desk of a news network in this country?! Don't forget, MSNBC led the post-Tucson shooting charge against Sarah Palin (for a political poster the shooter never even saw) and the extremist and racist TEA Party. The only thing missing in all of this is Helen Thomas leering deep into a camera lens telling the Jews to get the hell out.

Not much is uglier than people vacationing in a Potemkin village while ignoring human rights atrocities right under their noses. However, I think Congressmen Jeff Flake and Charles Rangel naming a bill allowing just that the "Export Freedom to Cuba Act," is an affront to all those in Cuba struggling for freedom. Ugly Americans indeed.

From The Hill:

Inspired by Cuba's pro-democracy leaders

By Mauricio Claver-Carone,a director of the U.S.-Cuba Democracy PAC and founding editor of CapitolHillCubans.com in Washington, D.C - 10/12/11 01:01 PM ET

What could be more pompous (and insulting) than the argument that American and foreign tourists can "inspire" the Cuban people to seek democracy? Not much.

Well, on second thought, maybe Republican Congressman Jeff Flake of Arizona and Democratic Congressman Charlie Rangel of New York calling their bill to sweep away all remaining restrictions on American travel to Cuba, the "Export Freedom to Cuba Act."

Or, the Obama Administration, which rejects American exceptionalism everywhere else in the world, arguing that American travelers (that have been carefully screened for entry by the Castro regime) are our best "Ambassadors of Freedom" to the Cuban people.

Their argument is that Cubans, upon seeing spring breakers and tourists enjoying luxury "people-to-people" tours and Cuban-American "mules" peddling flat-screen TV's, will suddenly realize what they're missing under the Castros' totalitarian dictatorship, as if Cubans don't already know what's missing, and life under a brutal regime was their voluntary choice.

The argument further holds that American travelers are different from the throngs of Canadian snowbirds and the European sex tourists visiting the island for the last two decades, frequently degrading the Cuban people while bankrolling the repressive regime.

American travelers, in other words, will be "truly inspirational."

Americans are undoubtedly the kindest, noblest and most charitable people in the world. But it's extraordinarily arrogant to argue that any foreign tourist is needed to inspire or empower the Cuban people, when some of the most courageous and inspirational people in this world are living in Cuba.

Meet Ivonne Mayeza Galano.

Last month, this amazing woman stood alone on the steps of the Capitol building in Havana. Knowing the brutality of the repression that awaited her, she nonetheless, peacefully held up a sign reading:

"Cambios en Cuba Sin Dictadura" ("Change in Cuba Without Dictatorship")

She was promptly arrested, stripped naked, searched and violently interrogated.

Two weeks later, four other women, Sara Marta Fonseca, Mercedes García Álvarez, Tania Maldonado Sánchez and Odalys Zurma González, continued her protest. Predictably, they too were arrested, but this time it took Castro's security forces 40-minutes to drag them away, as a gathering crowd of bystanders began to heckle the oppressors.

Or how about Iris Perez Aguilera?

This Afro-Cuban pro-democracy leader is the founder of the Rosa Parks Feminist Movement for Civil Rights. She undertakes weekly protests and sit-ins. As a result of these, Castro's secret police, on numerous occasions, has abused and brutally beaten her -- to the point of hospitalization.

Or how about Iris's husband, Jorge Luis Garcia Perez "Antunez?"

Antunez, often referred to as Cuba's Nelson Mandela, spent 17-years as a political prisoner for protesting in the public square of his hometown. Today, still a young 46-years old, he is the leader of Cuba's civil disobedience movement.

Or how about Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet?

A charismatic physician, he spent nearly 11-years in political prison for his democratic advocacy as head of the Lawton Foundation for Human Rights. At a recent concert, U2's Bono honored Dr. Biscet as a true inspiration.

Or Marcelino Abreu, who has spent over 100 days on a hunger strike, protesting his unjust four-year prison-sentence. His crime was refusing to show a police officer identification after walking nearby the Castro regime's tourist-only Hotel Nacional. Abreu still holds that Cubans should be free to walk on the public streets and enter the public buildings of their homeland. Cuban authorities disagree.

Or the young rappers and rockers that defy the Cuban dictatorship through their lyrics and whose concerts and music festivals are under constant siege by the "Ministry of Culture" backed by the regime's armed police.

Or the bloggers and social media activists who brave the Castros' censors to inform the world of the harsh brutality and injustices the Cuban people face.

How can foreign travelers —ignorant of life under tyranny and repression– represent democratic ideals better than these icons who have spent years in political prison, and brave daily violence and beatings, to express their democratic aspirations and promote change in Cuba?

Let those of us who live in the United States stop insulting courageous pro-democracy leaders in Cuba with talk of "inspiring" them. The Cuban people don't need to be "inspired" by people abroad. They need our unwavering support for their struggle and for tangible pressure against the dictatorship that represses them.

While I respect Rep. John Lewis's work during the civil rights movement, I'm not a fan of his politics or ideology for this nation. However, I obviously respect Rep. Lewis more than these people because I would have allowed him to speak. And, agree with him or not, I believe a TEA Party rally would have allowed him to speak his mind also. Take note, if this is how they treat somebody of support, how do you think the opposition will be silenced were they to take control (we do have examples, you know)?

Innocent tourists (families) are inside viewing the priceless historical artifacts of this nation's aeronautic accomplishments. What was their purpose for trying to cram themselves into the museum? Just an ordinary 'flash mob' disruption of noise, or worse?

There are those trying to compare the OWS to the TEA Party. On so many levels this is crap. Neither group have the same goals in mind for this nation and her people. One wants government out of our lives as much as possible so we can thrive on our own. The other is insisting government should control and provide everything, and they are angry that in the last three years it hasn't happened as quickly as they were led to believe it would. Those supporting the OWS try to point out the TEA Party isn't real American's, but is funded by "millionaires and billionaires". Really? It is very apparent these people are quite easily led away from the individual's though process, and are easily incitable. They have been trained and are supported by the same union thugs we saw in Madison, WI. late last winter. The way they have treated the areas where they have squatted for three weeks is an indication they respect nothing or nobody. These 'protesters' are beginning to out-stay their welcome.
In the course of the last week or so I have become convinced those "99%-ers" squatting on Wall Street with their expensive cameras, drums, sleeping bags, and computer laptops/iPhones, bitching and moaning they are not being taken care of in the USA, should hop on boats and head for the Hollywood/Michael Moore-endorsed People's Utopia of Cuba. The weather's much better down there. Healthcare is modern and free. Food and water are abundant. Everyone lives in a huge house and might even lovingly take you in. Not to mention the additional police, security, and street clean-up tax dollars being used to babysit you in NYC while you work hard not to work is money taken away from the city coffers in the event of, say, additional snow removal when this year's winter is worse than last year's. The people of NYC will love you even more when the snow and ice have them at a stand-still while you are unfairly and comfortably tucked inside Mom's old comforter sleeping one off on the stained couch in her basement as the hum of the gas-powered clothes dryer keeps you warm.

Dear protesters in New York City,

You are not 99 percent of America. I don't mean that in the obvious numerical sense. If 99 percent of Americans had actually joined your march, Manhattan would have flipped over by now.

What I mean is that if 99 percent of Americans actually sympathized with your cause, the entire nation's economy would have collapsed long ago -- apparently to the delight of the organizers of this current protest.

What I mean to say is, you have a marketing problem.

When you decided to sit in traffic and block the Brooklyn Bridge a few days ago, with that blazing pink "SMASH PATRIARCHY-SMASH CAPITALISM" sign in hand, you probably didn't see the regular people you stranded in traffic.

You know, the ones with real-world concerns, business to attend to, families to go home to, et cetera. You may have read about such people during college in a book called "The Petit Bourgeoisie," or something like that. Many of us grew up calling them "the middle class."

Whatever you call them, they are hurting badly in this economy, probably more than you are. (I'm just judging by that sweet digital video camera I see you holding out in front of the cops, in hopes of provoking them into a viral-video police brutality incident.)

Those people you left stuck in traffic have a hard time paying their bills and rents and health insurance and mortgages. They worry about things like finding decent schools for their children to attend and making sure they don't get fired at work, and fixing leaking roofs and chimneys.

You know what they don't worry about, ever? Smashing patriarchy and capitalism.

Do all these unwashed hippie-wannabe-throwbacks understand the pecking order under Communism/Marxism? You will NOT simply be given all that you want and need. It will be decided for you, in spite of if it's enough, or not. You will have close to what you already do/don't have (if that), while those unions bussing in, (democrat) politicians who are rich, and the rich Hollywood celebs that have voiced support for you get to keep their money, multiple homes, jets, food, healthcare, etc while at the top tier of the party ladder. The difference is right now, with enough hard work and luck, you can become rich. Under the government/system you are screaming for you will not be permitted to ... Nor will you be permitted to approach any of these people. You are willing fools.

Meanwhile, what was/is the major complaint by the media and the left of the TEA Party rank and file? Well, that they were all violent racists because they are all white, or something ... Wait, the OWS crowds are mostly what? But here we find your average Jew-bashers and Jew-blamers. And then the "Truther" nuts. It's freakin' Woodstock without the music ... But give them time. I'm sure the rock stars will start showing up soon. One thing I keep hearing is the bizarre similarities of these college kids loitering on Wall Street ... Somehow many have parents who are college educated, but shockingly unemployed now with their homes foreclosed on, and in many cases one or the other parent has either taken gravely ill or died from the stress the banks have inflicted on them. Hmm...

Watch Neil Cavuto put the pressure on Dennis Kucinich regarding lack of support for the TEA Party's "freedom of speech" and the "right to assemble":

The liberals/left just love to preach against, dictate, and then move-in on things THEY believe we shouldn't have. This is ironically hilarious, given today's pushy preachy "progressive" libs/left are yesterday's 1960s "if it feels good do it ... anything goes" open drug and sex culture. But our history shows "prohibition" is a miserable failure with the exact opposite result of it's intention. Heck, libertarians argue our country has such a drug and crime problem because drugs are illegal ... although I don't agree with legalizing them as a solution. Countries where they are legal have just as many crime problems and drug addiction. Kyle Smith at the New York Post outlines some very interesting highlights from a new PBS mini-series, "Prohibition", that have a lot of parallels with the prohibition and regulatory attempts by the left and the feds on our lives today. I will bet you thought, as I did, that the alcohol prohibition movement in this country in the early 20th Century was conservative-driven. Nope...

“People think of Prohibition as a conservative movement, but not at all. It was a movement that was embraced by progressives,” says historian Wiliiam Leuchtenburg in Ken Burns and Lynn Novick’s riveting, rollicking, infuriating and very contemporary documentary “Prohibition.”

“Prohibition,” a three-part miniseries that airs starting tonight on PBS and comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray this week, has many lessons to teach us about such antiquated, 1920s-era ideas as federal overreach, unfunded mandates to states, runaway taxation, a belief that great political leaders can accelerate human progress, crony capitalism, and of course the dire need of Washington to take steps to improve the lot of the poor and the children.

In other words, “Prohibition” is, to an almost mischievous extent, an investigative report about 2011.

Historian Catherine Gilbert Murdock, who provides a feminist voice to Burns and Novick’s film, says, of the times that gave rise to the dry movement, “There is a belief in human perfectibility -- that humans can be perfect and alcohol is the fly in the ointment. You could have a perfect marriage if it weren’t for alcohol. You could you have a perfect husband if it weren’t for alcohol. You could have a perfect community if it weren’t for alcohol.”

And if you want perfection, who better to supply it than the federal government?

[...]

The many flaws in progressivism -- the top-down, big-government, high-taxation model that seeks controls for benevolent reasons yet invariably falls prey to corruption -- are as blatant today as they are in Burns and Novick’s film.

[...]

“Prohibition” is a virtual checklist of everything people dislike about DC today...

<a href="http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2011/09/17/rex-murphy-the-medias-love-affair-with-a-disastrous-president/"target="_blank">Rex Murphy at The National Post delivers a very well played, and overdue, touché of the American MSM. I did a bit of difficult truncating. Difficult because every word was so-o-o-o delectable ... Be sure to read it in full.

In the main, the establishment American media abandoned its critical faculties during the Obama campaign — and it hasn’t reclaimed them since.

Much of the Obama coverage was orchestrated sychophancy. They glided past his pretensions ... They ignored his arrogance ... And they averted their eyes from his every gaffe ...

The media walked right past the decades-long association of Obama with the weird and racist pastor Jermiah Wright. In the midst of the brief stormlet over the issue, one CNN host — inexplicably — decided that CNN was going to be a “Wright-free zone.” He could have hung out a sign: “No bad news about Obama here.”

The media trashed Hillary. They burned Republicans. They ransacked Sarah Palin and her family. But Obama, the cool, the detached, the oracular Obama — he strolled to the presidency.

[...]

As a result, the press gave the great American republic an untried, unknown and, it is becoming more and more frighteningly clear, incompetent figure as President. Under Obama, America’s foreign policies are a mixture of confusion and costly impotence. It is increasingly bypassed or derided; the great approach to the Muslim world, symbolized by the Cairo speech, is in tatters. Its debt and deficits are a weight on the entire global economy. And the office of presidency is less and less a symbol of strength.

To the degree the press neglected its function as watchdog and turned cupbearer to a styrofoam demigod, it is a partner in the flaws and failures of what is turning out to be one of the most miserable performances in the modern history of the American presidency.

What is even more shameful, as I probably have offered in previous posts on the subject, the American MSM tried to <a href="http://hotair.com/archives/2008/12/16/video-joe-scarborough-rips-the-tanning-bed-media/"target="_blank">cover their butts in their <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzMas1bVidw&NR=1"target="_blank">post-election shock that the guy had actually won the general election. And realizing the task ahead of them was to be certain the empty suited socialist BozO they had helped get into the highest seat of leadership on the planet was never revealed to the American people as an abject failure because it would mean they were also big losers never again to be trusted. They were now <a href="http://tv.breitbart.com/matthews-my-job-is-to-make-obama-presidency-a-success/"target="_blank">Obama's publicists and PR firm to the mind-numbed American populace that looked to them for honest information.

To this day the MSM has either begrudgingly touched on or completely buried huge stories concerning this administration. Stories such as the <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/09/09/exclusive-third-gun-linked-to-fast-and-furious-identified-at-border-agents/"target="_blank">ATF's "Fast and Furious" operation, and the DOJ's and White House's direct involvement in it, that has gotten people killed, including our own border patrol agent. And there's that <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/09/15/despite-stimulus-funding-solyndra-and-4-other-companies-have-hit-rock-bottom/"target="_blank">failed green energy companies fiasco within the stimulus that cost the American people billions as Obama is proposing more "shoveling" of money in his latest "jobs bill" that would be MSM lead stories if they involved <a href="http://michellemalkin.com/2011/09/12/fast-and-furious-update-more-guns-more-stonewall/"target="_blank">a republican administration ... with said "news" media leading the charge for investigations, impeachments, and frog-marches.

So, a failed Obama is an even bigger failed American MSM.

The Drudge Report had up a large photo of a smirking Hillary Clinton with this headline under it:

MOST POPULAR POL IN THE WORLD!

It links to this Bloomberg story (pull-quote in this post title from the link) about three years into this "The One" Obama phantasm democrats, on all levels (here too), are having "buyer's remorse" for choosing Obama over the former First Lady and Bill's photo-op beach squeeze.

Let's be clear ... Hillary is Obama in pantsuits and overly sensible pumps. She wouldn't have done anything much differently than Barry has (except used some Loving Care on her 'grays'). As a matter of fact, she, as much as Obama, is responsible for the mess in the Middle East right now. Libya was HER war she (and a couple other females advisors in the administration) pushed Obama into. She botched her maiden voyage as Sec. of State beginning with the 'restart button' joke with Russia. Obama has dissed her continually by tucking her away in third world countries while sending John Kerry (and other 'men') to deal with the front burner areas. Hillary might be a better politician than a thug (although her freaky female behavior on cue during the 2008 democrat primary campaign did much damage to her ice queen image).

However, this democrat buyer's remorse is not all about the actual mess Obama has gotten this nation into, but more the fact he stands to severely damage their grip on power over us by, quite possibly and probably, losing re-election in 2012. Tuesday's wins in NV-2 and NY-9 on the heels of the November 2010 tsunami and continuing aftershocks (and don't forget about the tooth and nail battle successes in Wisconsin under Gov. Walker). This adds to the even bigger news that as many as 50 democrat seats in Congress could be in serious play come the next election. They are in desperate straits right now, mostly aimed at the grassroots TEA Party who are responsible for waking up the politically lazy masses and getting more conservative candidates into elected office. Listen to James Carville (long time Clinton troll)...

What I am seeing is a split in the displeasure with Obama inside his own party (and I mean the voters, not the poli-ops). Lifelong democrats such as my Dad are aghast at the actual 'change' that Obama has made in this country (even though these particular democrat voters were warned in 2008). They are far more conservative than the democrat party gives them credit for. In addition, I am in a democrat/union stronghold and these typically union supporting people are horrified by the increasingly ugly behavior of unions in this country. The other side of the Obama voters, the faaaaaaar left side, are angry he hasn't just said 'chuck it all!' and completely taken over and just 'executive ordered' EVERYTHING they have wanted for decades to convert us into a Marxist/socialist/communist nation.

I'm in no way fooling myself about divisions within the establishment political parties of this country. The GOP has a serious problem of their own, which is what the TEA Party has been addressing in the last couple elections ... and will continue to do in the elections to come.

So while the typical democrat party dogs, hogs and gawkers continue to bark, snort and retort about the false and contrived evils of the republicans and the TEA Party to try to sway people back into the Obama corral they believe are still ignorant to exactly what has been going on these last three years what is going on right now is less a political fight in this nation, and more a fight for ideological survival.

I said on <a href="http://www.chandlerswatch.com/2011/09/16/carville-thrashing-about-in-panic-over-loser-obama/"target="_blank">CW this morning:

Yeah, Obama’s in big trouble with the American people. Many that voted for him the first time simply just won’t get fooled again. [...]

Dems won’t get the floundering Barry Obama to step aside for 2012 … They would have to do nothing short of a democrat party excommunication of the guy.

Even his loving Hollywood supporters are fankly tired of Obama’s bullshit … However, I ponder if it’s Obama’s scandals and corruption, or the fact (as they were with Bill Clinton) just pissed he got caught … especially when today, more so than in the 1990s, the internet is all over this crap 24/7 covering the crap the MSM refuses to.

As much made-up credit these dolts tried to portray as Obama’s “experience” and smarts to be POTUS, THEY are now looking like the fools more so than the people they helped fool into getting the guy elected.

Yep, the USSA Obama is in trouble, and the d-rats look to be climbing the railing to jump ship in order to save themselves ...

Hang on. The tsunami ain't over yet ... Oh, it'll be "historic", all right.

Pretty much everyhting I have said since January to this point, including this current "Labor Day" episode, regarding colorful political battle rhetoric post-Tucson shooting is laid-out at HotAir, so I'll just say, "Ditto!"

The background on what is being discussed between ABC's Jake Tapper and Obama's apologist Jay Carney is here.

But you have to give a huge kudos to Jake Tapper for pushing and pressing on this particular issue, because since the 2008 election cycle (including the 2008 democrat primary race) there has been a double standard and hypocrisy with what is and isn't acceptable political rhetoric (and as we have see since 2008 ANYTHING said in opposition to Obama or his agenda and/or policies is "racist") ... with the democrats and liberal MSM and opinionators given carte blanche and a free-ride pass on rhetoric, and no accountability for whatever they say.

It is all Obama and his party have left in the approaching 2012 election. They are still stinging with loss and fear from the November 2010 tsunami of defeat from local to state to the national levels. But it's not just that. It is the fact that his brief moment on an Ohio front lawn with a man known as "Joe the Plumber" has been laid open for nearly three years for more, if not all, to witness. The man is a socialist. Since he said he would change the United States of America more people have awakened to exactly what he meant. And those awakened people want nothing to do with this man's vision for our nation.

Something tells me Barack Hussein Obama was never told, "NO!" when he was a child, or at any other time in his life. And therein results the temper tantrum we are now seeing, mostly directed at the TEA Party right now ... But to be elevated to probably the most filthy campaign in recent history to be carried out by his team, the democrats, and the MSM. What Tapper is rightly doing here as one of the last remaining actual journalists is to get these people in the burning spotlight, call them on the carpet early for the double standard, and attempt to hold their feet to the fire over the course of the next year of campaigning for re-election.

<a href="http://nationalspectator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Jane-Fonda-Tanning.jpg"target="_blank">Jane Fonda (warning) likes to fancy herself a righteous activist. We all know Jane from her romantic <a href="http://www.tonyrogers.com/humor/images/fonda_pic.jpg"target="_blank">NVA gun-straddling days during the Vietnam War as those pesky American POWs insisted on being tortured, starved, beaten, and killed. But what you probably don't know is dear <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2033795/Jane-Fonda-said-biggest-regret-sleeping-Che-Guevara.html"target="_blank">Jane is pining for the one she let get away. Who might that be? Well, that heartthrob centerfold for all <a href="http://www.therealcuba.com/page5.htm"target="_blank">capitalist-fed and protected leftist/liberal Marxist wannabes ... Che Guevara, of course.

And Bob "I never met a blood-stained Marxist thug I didn't like" Beckel must've wanted to make a Jane Fonda sandwich with old "Don't shoot! I'm Che!" (Or maybe a Che sandwich with dear Jane?)

I want to say, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xn19Rr16vw&feature=player_embedded#!"target="_blank">'They don't know Che' ... but the horrific fact is they do, and it is exactly why they lust after him. He touches their inner vampire. I think what pisses me off about all these Che Guevara necromongers is how they willfully and spitefully look past the death and oppression spawned from the man's bad seed in Cuba. And forget about any support and understanding, let alone outrage, from an alleged "feminist" over the treatment of women activists in Cuba. Sexy, huh?

Right now I would wager there are more families, such as mine, that haven't had a family vacation of any sort in at least two years. But in those two years, those who really oppose Barack Obama <a href="http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/obama-wont-call-back-congress-work-jobs"target="_blank">decry his and his wife's numerous, lavish and pricey vacations all over the world, especially in the middle of this tough time. While I agree a president and his family deserve a trip here and there, let's keep in perspective that first sentence, and the reason why many not only have not had a family vacation, but have cut back on many other things in life under the current employment and economic troubles. But even though he isn't joining us in his idea of "shared sacrifice" or leading by example, Obama feels our pain ... and will someday get around to dropping us a "thank you" note for <a href="http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2011/08/11/obamas-vineyard-vacation-will-cost-taxpayers-millions"target="_blank">funding his endless trips.

So, what are the odds Obama's own White House mouthpiece would <a href="http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/08/10/carney_defends_obama_vacay_to_marthas_vineyard_no_such_thing_as_a_presidential_vacation.html"target="_blank">defend his coming trip to Martha's Vineyard ... yet, <a href="http://video.foxnews.com/v/1105944762001/grapevine-changing-tune-for-carney/"target="_blank">be caught compromised in his argument by something he blasted then Pres. George W. Bush for in August 2001, and completely contradict himself ten years later?

WH Press Sec. Jay Carney August 2011 - "And I don't think Americans out there would begrudge that notion that the President would spend some time with his family. It is also, as I think anyone who has covered in the past, either in this administration or others, there is no such thing as a presidential vacation. The Presidency travels with you. He will be in constant communication and get regular briefings from his national security team as well as his economic team. And he will of course be fully capable, if necessary, of traveling back if that were required. It is not very far."

<a href="http://www.time.com/time/columnist/carney/article/0,9565,171496,00.html#ixzz1UlJltrHJ"target="_blank">The August 2001 Jay Carney article FNC's Bret Baier cited is here.

In the 2001 piece Carney bemoans the "photo-ops" Pres. Bush encountered during his August vacation. However, the same <a href="http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/carney-fallen-seals-photo-was-controlled-wh"target="_blank">Jay Carney just the other day attempted to deflect any wrong-doing in Obama's photo-op at the return to Dover Air Force Base of <a href="http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/pentagon_releases_names_of_americans_T94mvE8OCY3oFJ13w7u7YN#ixzz1Uk3nEIQL"target="_blank">over 30 fallen U.S. Navy SEALS and troops when <a href="http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2015875017_apususafghanistanmedia.html?syndication=rss"target="_blank">no such photos were to be taken or released, by <a href="http://ace.mu.nu/archives/319997.php"target="_blank">wishes of the heart-broken families and the rules of the Pentagon.

So what is Obama doing tonight? Well, he's attending <a href="http://whitehouse.blogs.cnn.com/2011/08/10/obama-set-to-raise-money-in-new-york/"target="_blank">two more of those $38,500-per-person fund raisers. Right now Obama has beaten and far surpassed incumbent Pres. Bush in August 2003 in <a href="http://impeachobamatoday.blogspot.com/2011/06/obama-does-30th-fundraiser-tonight-27.html"target="_blank">fundraisers ... as well as <a href="http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-07-21/news/29814547_1_president-obama-debt-ceiling-corporate-jet-owners"target="_blank">golf games in Bush's entire two terms combined. By the way, $38,500 is actually a yearly wage for some folks ... most of whom are the largest bulk of the suffering right now at the gas pump and the grocery store.

Why yes ... Yes, we do, Mr. Obama.

You know, I distinctly recall hearing, for years, those who support liberal/leftist/democrat politicians, like Obama, griping about how the U.S. has always done business with and/or catered to the world's dictators, and that was/is the core of our problems around the world. But with Obama he's sorta kinda like Cyrus from that 1970s cult movie "The Warriors". He claims to unify, but is picking and choosing which dictators are worthy of remaining under his king-of-the-world watch, and <a href="http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=44279"target="_blank">which he will bow to or bump fists with ...

President Obama this month opened the White House and, with it, the stature of a presidential photo-op to one of the worst dictators in Africa: Gabon’s Ali Bongo Ondimba.

The Bongo family (his father ruled the oil-rich nation for over 40 years) has stolen a big chunk of the impoverished nation’s gross domestic product, press reports say. The riches have allowed the Bongos to live a life of ostentatious luxury. They buy million-dollar homes in Hollywood and France and spend gobs of money on around-the-world shopping trips.

Even the mainstream media noted the oddity of an American President on June 9 putting down the red carpet for such an unsavory despot. [...]

One dictator on one day at the White House might be excused as playing diplomacy with the hand you’re dealt.

But there seems to be a pattern with this President of reaching out to the worst, while snubbing the best.

A year before Bongo came to town, the leader of a staunch ally visited the White House. There was no red carpet. No photo-op. No dinner. Obama treated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu like a troublesome kid he had to scare straight.

Netanyahu was shuffled off to an office where the President abruptly left the meeting with the words “let me know if there is anything new,” according to The Times of London, after he failed to get the prime minister to give in to the Palestinians.

When Netanyahu returned this spring, he did get a photo-op. But Obama dissed him once again. He laid the framework for the visit by delivering a speech that said Israel had to shrink its borders, putting Netanyahu in the awkward position of having to publicly reject the suicidal plan.

Obama’s tortured outreach to the Muslim world has found Secretary of State Hillary Clinton referring to Syrian henchmen Bashar Assad as a “reformer.”

When they met, Obama bowed before the Saudi Arabian king. That country’s money and ideology have done more to fuel radical Islam than any other’s.

Obama often criticizes Jerusalem, but rarely mentions Hamas, the U.S.-designated terrorist organization that vows to destroy Israel.

It was Obama’s outreach to the renegade regime in Iran that started his troublesome tilt away from Israel. Obama believed the magic of his presence would convince Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the one fueling deadly insurgents in Iraq and a nuclear weapons program at home, to sit down and talk.

Read the whole thing...

Two sayings come to mind:

1.) Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

2.) A man is known by the company he keeps.

Now then, given Obama's background that the MSM has toiled to either ignore, cover-up, or lie about, and given what we have witnessed the last two and a half years, which of the above sayings do you think Obama's fondness of dictators falls into?
