There was a time when the MSM sometimes did their job vis á vis Cuba. To all those who want to end the embargo and normalize relations with Cuba, and to all those taking cheap shots at the Cuban exile community because some exercised their free speech rights and complained because they were offended that lackeys [...]

While reporting on Cuba has usually been misleading and favorable to the regime, ignoring easily obtainable, publicly known facts reaches a new level of sloppy reporting. Either that or these reporters’ loyalties unabashedly lie with the regime.
Recently, the Seattle Times erred in an editorial about the embargo, stating:
SEN. Maria Cantwell calls our attention to a [...]

A church group from Portland is denied entry by Cuban authorities, detained, and sent back to Mexico and whom do they blame? Not the Stalinist regime responsible, but the unfortunate American held in a Cuban prison accused of trying to “destabilize” said regime. How rude! After all, this church group loves Cuba; they’ve never had [...]

The state of Cuba celebrated this day by sending in castroite thugs to do the cowardly dicatator's dirty work: the beating of women, mass arrests, and contronting diplomats and dissidents.
From the radical's paradise, brought to you by Cubanews:

Jewish support for Obama continues to tumble:
The story is here.

Capitol Hill Cubans straighten out Senator Kerry's twisted thinking:
How can Senator Kerry boldly state that U.S policy has "manifestly failed" for nearly 50 years, then qualify the Clinton Administration's travel and engagement initiatives as "successful"?
Wasn't Bill Clinton's presidency within the last 50 years?
Wasn't Jimmy Carter's presidency -- when tourism and all other travel transactions between [...]

In fact, he is a typical lefty wuss. A pampered elite who has made a fortune spreading universal alarm about global warning, which as many of us knew all along is a false theory based on junk science. Now that the house that Al built is about to crumble, where is Mr. Global Warming?
Hiding out [...]

And not only does the Obama administration know this to be a fact, but they are brazenly lying to the American public, and the rest of the world, to forward their own political agenda.
Michelle Malkin completely and utterly shreds the entire Global warming Climate Clique, right here. It is not only a thing of absolute [...]

How many American service members are going to die while the Commander in Chief equivocates? While our sons and daughters are on the front line short staffed, Obama wavers because:
The president faces conflicting pressures on Afghanistan.
So he meets with the V.P., the Secretary of State, the Defense Secretary, and one would hope someone from the [...]

Charles Krauthammer shreds the media's attempt to whitewash the role of Nidal Hasan's Islamic faith in the Fort Hood massacre.
From Real Clear Politics:
Explaining Away Mass Murder
By Charles Krauthammer
WASHINGTON -- What a surprise -- that someone who shouts "Allahu Akbar" (the "God is great" jihadist battle cry) as he is shooting up a room of American soldiers might [...]

Olga Tañon from the Herald's gushy puff piece on the criticism she received for her participation in the recent concert in Havana: "With all the respect in the world for Cuban exiles that have suffered tremendously, I think it's time to change." "We have to learn to forgive. I take off my hat to people who, with so [...]

When it comes to Communist dictators, whether from radicals within the Obama administration, do-gooder useful idiots, or the ideologically challenged, all reason seems to disappear.
Read Capital Hill Cuban's reaction to Chilean-born novelist and Duke University Professor of Literature, Vladimiro Ariel Dorfman’s advice to President Obama:
When Ideology Blinds Reason
And no, this post is not about Castronomics.
It's [...]

Now that Bush is gone, and we have the Peace Messiah occupying the White House, Albor Ruiz' breathless anticipation of the lifting of all travel restrictions to Cuba is palpable. He envisions a Cuba swarming with American tourists, never mind the recalcitrant anti-casto lobby.
Sadly, he doesn't mention the millions of Cubans held captive on the island gulag [...]

Interesting article in today's WSJ by Democrat Lanny Davis on the Honduras situation where he points out the idiocy of Obama and his Chavez dupes about their refusal to recognize the new freely elected government in Honduras following the November 2009 election:
What's made the situation even more intractable is that the U.S., the OAS and [...]

Capital Hill Cubans rips six members of Congress for their hypocritical letter threatening Honduras:
The letter signed by Representatives Bill Delahunt, James McGovern, Sam Farr, Gregory Meeks, Janice Schakowsky, and Xavier Becerra stresses that,
"Unless the coup is ended, President Zelaya is restored, and violations of democracy and human rights are halted, no presidential election conducted in [...]

Here's one explanation, from Austin Statesman Editor Fred Zipp. It's all about dissing Fox News, and note two sources he quotes:
"ACORN is a national group dedicated to community organizing. According to its website."
"Wikipedia has a succinct description of the group"
And they wonder why people seek out alternative news sources.

Millions of tourists from democratic countries, including the U.S. have visited Cuba, but somehow, contrary to the kool-aid crowd school of thought, the Cuban people still have NO HUMAN RIGHTS. To those bozos who argue for the lifting of the embargo what do you have to say about this? How do you think more Americans [...]

And it's not one of us "radical right-wingers" saying it; it's Alec Baldwin.
Don't name a bridge after Ted. Or the wing of a prestigious university or airport. Name a building on Capitol Hill. That is where the heart of Teddy Kennedy can be found. On a sail boat, yes. At Hyannis or anywhere with his [...]
