  1. Val-

That does seem *rather* odd. Wonder how you got on their mailing list?

I mean, of course my mind immediately runs to what the seminar topics would be. “Suicide bombing, should you wear clean underwear?”, “Living in the Belly of the Great Satan, a Muslim’s guide to American Life” or “Beating the wife, ax handle of stove wood?”

But of course, not all Muslims are like the Taliban any more than all Christians are like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson. Those things would be totally rude and unconscionable to post. So I won’t.

    Hope you are well.

  2. At least you didn’t get the one I got with all the Christians attending…….

Hmm……..wait. That’s not fair! I want the Islamic conventioneers too!

  3. Ha! that is an e-mail scam. There are my harvesters of e-mail addresses (they collect e-mail addresses from websites, i.e. this blog). The whole purpose of that e-mail is to see if you respond. You see the mailbots(machines that run 24hrs. e-mailing advertisements) want to know who is CHECKING/REPLYING their e-mail. If you do click remove, or reply back, expect the offers through mail in tenfold. In essence, just erase it.
Also, the convention may be real, but you were never invited, since the convention is open to the public, you do not need an invitation and since it is open to the public you can advertise for it without legal repercussions.
