Wanna read something incredibly stupid?
I just received the following via email:
I must inform you of errors that people have made on this site
Che did not follow the same beliefs that Fidel did. In fact, soon after Fidel became the new dictator of Cuba, Ernesto left. he did this because he believed that the poor people deserved to be treated better than they were being treated.
I agree that Fidel is not a good man, though Cuba is a better place than when the previous dictator (Fulgencio Batista) was running it. Before Fidel, Cuba was the Vegas for people in Florida. Cuba was a place for rich Americans looking for prostitution, drugs, and gambling and the country was run by the mafia. Now, the people are educated and as i stated above, i do not condone some of the things that Fidel has done, i do think that is a better place.
Oh man. This is like the bazzilionth time I’ve read the same thing. It’s from the standard cultist rhetoric warehouse, aisle “C”, second shelf on the right.
Is that person on crack?? How can he or she say that Cuba is a better place now? How can anyone think Che was a good ol’ guy?
I was surprised to learn from Humberto Fontova that in 1958, more Cubans visited the U.S. than Americans did Cuba.
As for the e-mailer, the cult of che is widespread and we have much work to do.
I suppose that while Che was standing beside Fidel during the execution of all those innocent people who were protesting the Revolution that this makes Che a good guy and hero.
Well, pardon me if I can’t see this.
The only problems between Che and Fidel was that there was only room for one total power. Che was just his flunky. The only good thing was that Che got a taste of his own medicine. Aleluya!!!!
Yes, Juan I can see the cult spreading since lately it seems like the cool thing is to wear a Che T-Shirt nowadays.
We do have a long way too go still.
Take Care,
Ile
Who is this idiot? Where does he get the idea that Cuba is a better place. Look I was no fan of Batista, more people were educated and fed in P/c Cuba than in the US at the time. In fact, in Fantova’s book, among may things, he show a chart of what slaves rations were in 1842 as apposed to what Cubans get get as of 1962. Slaves 8oz of protien Cubans 2 oz. These people are true idoits.
So what if it was a playground for the rich at least we could play to.
These fools will never learn until it happens to them. WHen the Chinese come knocking at the door they will all be singing a different toon.
The poor deluded schmuck. He so cherishes his che delusions he is willing to wipe out history to keep them alive. Must be a miserable life to want to cling to flotsam so false, so pathetic, so wrong. Wretched.
Hmm I think Che left cause….. HE HAD NO ONE ELSE TO KILL !
where do these people come from? And AGAIN with Batista.
Hey the british people are 1,000,000 better now that they were with Henry VIII, so what is his fucking point ? Shouldnt there have been 46 years of progress?
Are they really THAT stupid?
Aye que cosa!
“Now, the people are educated”
Even if this were true or even particularly important…
Who cares how educated you are if you arent free to exercise your brain & use your knowledge to be creative and productive in any way you would like?
What good is knowledge when you are controlled in how you use it?
What good is life if you arent free to live?
These people really live in a fantasy world.
By the way, LOVE YOUR BLOG!
Oh dear. Yes, Che was outraged about Castro’s harsh treatment of the people. In between bouts of personally executing 14 year old boys deemed enemies of the revolution, of course.
I recall reading that under Batista, Cuba had something like the 10th or 12th highest standard of living in the world. Since material wealth (and no considerations of freedom) seems to be everything to these people, I wonder if that fact alone would be enough to give these people pause.
Che was to Castro as Himmel was to Hitler. Anyone who disagrees need’s to do some serious research.
“Cuba was a place for rich Americans looking for prostitution, drugs, and gambling”
And now it’s a place for rich Europeans and Canadians looking for prostitution, drugs, and gambling.
Hey Andrea check this out

Oh come on now, Cuba is a paradise for musicians at least!
Oh wait, the Cuban group Vocalit? touring Mexico just tried to make it to the U.S., but the friendly Mexican authorities deported them back to their worker’s paradise where Castro will certainly give them a hero’s welcome.
Eight Days To Cuba Nostalgia
Get on over to Val’s and check things out. If you can do something to help with his part of Cuba Nostalgia, then please do it. If nothing else, read the posts so that ignorance such as this and this…
We could send this creature a T-shirt displaying Che’s handsome, dead looks, imprinted with the caption “Seremos como el Che!” – inviting “it” to emulate “its” hero. I doubt the life-form will provide a good address, however.
Proof that even idiots can use email.
“Seremos como el che”
asmaticos
mancos
y
muertos
and THAT is a quote from a 13 year old girl in Castrolandia.
Google has it’s limits – it said:
“We will be like the Che asmaticos mancos and died”
So that’s like maybe “We will be like the Che followers (believers?) and die”?
