Thanks for sharing this, Val!
Holguin, Ote., Cuba, is my birthplace … my family fled communism in 1962 … I was too young to remember, but I can still appreciate it through this beautiful photo …and look forward to returning, when Cuba becomes free again!!

Holguin is the place of my father’s family.
Great picture Val. Hope to see Holguin in person some day. Thanks.
I’d just like to add a note. That can’t possibly be Holguin, last time I checked there were no beaches in Holguin. It’s probably a picture of Guardalavaca, or other beach towns that belong to the “province” of Holguin. It could even be a picture of Gibara, which is the most beautiful beach town in the world, and I only say that because that’s where I was born haha. Beautiful picture though.
Jose,
You are correct, it is Guardalavaca – Storethecow for you non-spanish speakers – near Holguin. In my hurry to get the post up, I didnt notice that I had cut the “Guardalavaca beach near” prior to the Holguin, Oriente Province.. Post has been updated.
It’s no biggie, I just wanted to point it out just in case. “Storethecow” I love it…haha. Guardalavaca is a beautiful beach…I remember going there when I was a little kid.
