castro’s got the Crab

The Conductor reports on last night’s testimony on A Mano Limpia – a local Spanish TV show – that fidel castro has suffered from some kind of intestinal cancer.

The above coincides with this report from Dr. Lisa Marcucci of InsideSurgery.com which concludes:

Conclusion: I still believe that Castro’s diagnosis is some type of metastatic intraabdominal cancer. It just seems to me that if it was at all possible they would have wheeled him onto a balcony for at least a few seconds of a live appearance. When Pope John Paul II was really just hours from death he appeared at the window of his room. The photos from Havanna were intended, of course, to portray that Castro is not as sick as he probably is. Or maybe Castro just doesn’t care anymore if he makes a live appearance or not. I will bet my house that we never see him alive again.

(Emph. mine.)

I sure do hope Dr. Marcucci’s diagnosis is correct. Read the whole thing here (you have to scroll down a bit as there appears to be a problem with the page.).

  1. I just got an email with the news that a friend has lost his battle with cancer. I know he suffered greatly in his last days. I can only hope the bearded bastard of Havana suffers as much.

  2. A cancerous, malignant entity now being finished off by cancerous, malignant and unstoppable cells…”Saturn Devouring his Children.” Cosmic justice at its best! Suffer, beast.

  3. raul is kicking chavez in the keister for persuading the old corpse to fly down to argentina the other week. raul isn’t happy at all about this. When The Thug flew into Havana on an unannounced trip to be at His Master’s bedside, raul told him to beat it and he wasn’t welcome to make unannounced trips.

  4. I believe the good doctor is spot on.
It is not unusual at all for people of advanced age to develop cancers in the abdominal area that progress quite suddenly. The lack of his presence in anymeaningful sense for this long makes it plain he is not doing well. The panic and disorganization of the first days after the surgery tells that the prgnosis was a bad surprise. The transparent flattery of castro regarding his health by his own doctors tells that they suspected his health was compromised for awhile, but were fearful to be honest about the old tyrant.
While I am reluctant to wish anyone suffering from cancer ill, it is possible to make an exception in the casae of fidel.
He is old, and the suffering of the cuban people is old. It is time for the suffering to stop.
