Che Guevara: 39 Years of Hype
Humberto Fontova
Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006Thirty-nine years ago this week, Ernesto “Che” Guevara got a major dose of his own medicine. Without trial he was declared a murderer, stood against a wall and shot. Historically speaking, justice has rarely been better served. If the saying “What goes around comes around” ever fit, it’s here.
The number of men Che’s “revolutionary tribunals” condemned to death in the identical manner range from 400 to 1,892. The number of defenseless men (and boys) Che personally murdered with his own pistol runs into the dozens. Imagine Charles Manson, Ted Bundy and Son of Sam T-shirts on such as Johnny Depp and Prince Harry. Granted, these last three didn’t match Che’s murder tally.
“Executions?” Che Guevara exclaimed while addressing the hallowed halls of the U.N. General Assembly on December 9, 1964. “Certainly we execute!” he declared, to the claps and cheers of that august body. “And we will continue executing (emphasis HIS) as long as it is necessary! This is a war to the DEATH against the revolution’s enemies!”
According to the Black Book of Communism, those firing-squad executions had reached around 10,000 by that time. Sloboban Milosevic, by the way, went on trial for allegedly ordering 8,000 executions. The charge against him by the same U.N. that deliriously applauded Che Guevara’s proud proclamation was “genocide.”
The “revolution’s enemies” bound, gagged and murdered by Che and his henchmen were among the most enterprising and valiant fighters of the 20th century. These Cuban freedom fighters rank alongside the Polish Home Army and the Hungarian Freedom Fighters. They fought just as valiantly, as desperately – and, ultimately, just as hopelessly. They fought to the last bullet and usually to the death.
Most heartbreaking of all, they fought alone and abandoned. They specialized in ripping off their gags and blindfolds to yell “VIVA CRISTO REY!” or “VIVA CUBA LIBRE!” or “ABAJO COMUNISMO!” before the bullets shattered their bodies and the coup de grace from Che’s henchman shattered their skulls.
The few survivors live today in places like Miami and New Jersey and qualify as the longest-suffering political prisoners in modern history. But you’ll look for their stories on the History Channel and PBS and in The New York Times, etc., in vain. They fought the Left’s premier pinup boys, you see. So their heroism doesn’t qualify as politically correct drama.
Its going to be 39 yrs ago this week when the pig che was dispacted to hell where he belongs.
I remember it as if were yesterday. In that cold cellblock we got the news from one of the Prison Guards. “Hey……did you hear the news? El che is dead.”
There were four of us Cubans in that Crujia “D” of Lecumberri Prison in Mexico City. We felt as much joy as one can feel living in that hellhold.
But remembering that moument brings me a tang of joy.
The Cuban men and young boys, some only children who went up against the pig che fireing squads often yelled as thier last words, “VIVA CRISTO REY!!–ABAJO EL COMUNISMO–CUBA CUBA LIBRE!”
We should NEVER forget the pig ches last words……….
“Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,Plissss………no kiellllll me. Mi el che, I much better for jew alive then dead. Pllllllllis…..no me matennnn. Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, aiiiiiiiiiii, aiiiiiiiiiii.”
Just last Monday at school I had a student come in the last period with a Che Guevara T-shirt with the Cuban flag in the background and a Che quote on the bottom. I called the office and requested a sub because I felt sick. The following day I reported the incident and the principal came to talk to me about it; and as a consequence, I received permission to leave the classroom if this student ever returns with it.Talking to the student individually can have unforeseen repercussions. Last semester I discussed this issue with the VP and his reply was that a student has every right to wear one, despite the fact that it was offensive to me.
Awesome read! I too get a sick feeling when I see our youth wearing one of these t-shirts. Wearing a Che T-shirt is siding with all things Communist and also anti American. Living here in the USA, we have become Cuban Americans! Let’s live by the motto, Live Free or Die!
Ap_47, I be curious what the reaction would be if it were say a Hitler t-shirt. Well they have the right to wear them, and we have the right to express what we think of them wearing them. I can’t stand to look at the image either.
Ziva, I asked the VP that same question, and his reply was they were not one and the same. Now, we had a Social Studies teacher several years ago who talked about what a good thing it was to have had the Japanese internment camps. Guess what!! He was called in and reprimanded severely for talking about such a sensitive subject. Better yet, since I happen to be in a school where 90% are Mexican-Americans, what would be the reaction if I wore a César Chávez shirt with his face crossed?
RIH Che
Che died like the coward he was.
Some times is good to put some names into the tragedy….. Then let see what that VP have to said.

Whether the lefties like it or not – it is still dead. I pray some day its measly bones will be dug up from the abominable site of its burial, where its remains deface Cuba, ground up, and flushed down the nearest working toilet. A fitting finale for this piece of (in)human waste.
This comes from people that probably voted for Bush who is as bad as Hitler or Truman. Ass kissers that haven’t the slightest idea of what’s going on in the world because they believe what they hear inside their American bubble. It’s not about lefties or ignorants it’s about facts and the fact is that this world is full of ignorant people that prefer to go watch American Idol while the United States plots to have a totalitarian government and control all of Latin America with the exception of Cuba and Venezuela. If those Cubans were murdered by Che then they must have deserved it because they were a bunch of pigs that wanted to be on top of everyone else including the Cuban people and Che didn’t allow that. I’m glad he killed them, that means less garbage in the world, and whether you like it or not, el Che lives and will continue living and I will continue wearing a shirt with his face on it, its much better than having a Wal-mart and a McDonalds near my house which happens to be outside of the US. I moved out of the US because I couldn’t handle that police state anymore, full of cameras everywhere watching your every move while having complete loss of freedom. Que viva el Che, y que mueran los cabrones! QUE VIVA HUGO CHAVEZ PINCHE GOVIERNO GRINGO!!!
