This smacks of a back room deal. Why didn’t this happen a week ago? Clearly it was in the works.
I don’t think these guys will be satisfied with Rumsfeld stepping down … they’ll come back for more … I wonder if his stepping down has anything to do with the democrats “not” stepping up on impeachment procedures … no matter what … sadly enough … and not necessarily good for America either … “concessions” have begun …

If my old ears did not deceive me President Bush congratulated Rumstead on the development of the “Northern Command.” As all know Cuba, I think unique among “Latin” American countries, is now the responsability of the Northern Comnand.
Rummy has always been one of my favorites and one of the few people I respect. I hate to see him go, but it’s a good thing: he needs to kick back and relax in his NM ranch and forget all the moonbats now ruling the roost in Washington. They were never able to match wits with him, they were out for blood each time he had to sit there and entertain their foolishness during Congressional hearings.
Godspeed, Rummy. The history books haven’t been written yet.
