Like, you know, I’m really, like, sorry he died

Here’s a tribute to the late director Robert Altman, by that world-renowned thespian, Lindsay Lohan. Note the phrasing, the feelings! Damn, this girl’s an effing literary genius!

I would like to send my condolences out to Catherine Altman, Robert Altmans wife, as well as all of his immediate family, close friends, co-workers, and all of his inner circle.

I feel as if I’ve just had the wind knocked out of me and my heart aches.

If not only my heart but the heart of Mr. Altman’s wife and family and many fellow actors/artists that admire him for his work and love him for making people laugh whenever and however he could..

Robert altman made dreams possible for many independent aspiring filmmakers, as well as creating roles for countless actors.

I am lucky enough to of been able to work with Robert Altman amongst the other greats on a film that I can genuinely say created a turning point in my career.

I learned so much from Altman and he was the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I’ve had in several years.

The point is, he made a difference.

He left us with a legend that all of us have the ability to do.

So every day when you wake up.

Look in the mirror and thank god for every second you have and cherish all moments.

The fighting, the anger, the drama is tedious.

Please just take each moment day by day and consider yourself lucky to breathe and feel at all and smile. Be thankful.

Life comes once, doesn’t ‘keep coming back’ and we all take such advantage of what we have.

When we shouldn’t….. ‘

Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourselves’ (12st book) -everytime there’s a triumph in the world a million souls hafta be trampled on.-altman Its true. But treasure each triumph as they come.

If I can do anything for those who are in a very hard time right now, as I’m one of them with hearing this news, please take advantage of the fact that I’m just a phone call away.

God Bless, peace and love always.

Thank You,

“BE ADEQUITE”

Lindsay Lohan

Folks, it amazes me that these people win elections and make millions of dollars in Hollywood. More from The Independent UK.

  1. But she’s all like from the heart and stuff.

That’s the kind of comments I saw on the newspaper’s web site. Don’t miss reading them.

Just remember this young woman is alleged to be a straight A student.

I’m sorry, did Lindsey Lohan win an election recently? And as for the millions of dollars, blame the market. It’s not as if your tax money were going to these people.

That being said, I definitely agree that her writing is rather inadequite.

  3. This letter is a ray of hope for all the people who want to learn English, because it makes him or her to say “Wow!, I can write better than her and that’s not my mother tongue!. Thank you Lindsay for giving hope to all of us who have doubts about the quality of his/her English.

  4. I’m not a linguist, and I’m not cutting Lindsey any slack, but I’d think that English is probably one of the more difficult languages out there.
Irregular grammar that has more exceptions than rules, forms of spelling that are almost entirely disconnected from pronunciation (there’s no such thing as an Italian or Spanish spelling bee, for example because strangely enough, they spell words according to how they sound!) not to mention the strange vowels – ey, ee, eye, owe, you… Languages as distant as Spanish and Japanese are much closer in how they pronounce vowels than English is to any other language. It makes the accomplishment of any immigrant who learns this cherished mongrelized language of ours all the more laudable.

  5. MMerchant, I was referring to liberals in general, whom I do not particularly like. All feeling, no learning. And Lindsay Lohan has absolutely no fucking excuse whatsoever for not being able to write a coherent paragraph. The only slack I’ll cut her is that she may have had liberal teachers; in that case it’s the parable of the blind leading the blind, all over again…

  6. File under: “things that make you go hmm.”

Is “BE ADEQUITE” Latin or something? What is “adequite?” Oh, I know, she’s all bereaved and stuff and can’t type properly through her tears.

  7. Who cares what this Lindsay Lomein person thinks. I don’t even know who she is. Does she have a blog?

I don’t wish ill on the late Altman or his family. Maybe he was a nice guy in person. But his foolish ideas about the world count for something and should not be glossed over, much less celebrated.

If athletes are supposed to be role models, why do prominent film directors (who, unlike athletes, are in the public eye for decades) get a pass to say any damn thing?

  8. As a cinephile I will give you my opinion of Robert Altman: his movies were pretentious, his characters were boring, and his reputation as a filmmaker was way, way overblown.

    Just my $0.02.

  9. I’m a teacher, albeit of Spanish, and while English is one of, if not the hardest languages to learn, that generally applies to foreigners, not people who are schooled for 12 years in an English-only classroom. Lindsay Lohan’s “inadequite” skills look to me like a kid who didn’t bother to study much. If she was tutored on the set in Hollywood, I wouldn’t doubt they got her a nice, liberal teacher.
