It sounds to me like a lot of free publicity for an old corrupted and oppressive bastard dinosaur dinosaur counting his last dark days over the face of the plante. Anyway if he doesn’t show up by the January 2 anniversary I will start thinking that he have more that one foot in the other side and the band is getting ready to play “El Manicero” so he can sing.
And think that I always wanted to see him die in front of the TV cameras with some kind of bloody foam coming out of his mouse and ears. It appears that the beast will reach his end not even aware of what he was probably asking for more morphine to keep him high.
Delahunt said something to the effect that “they told me he didn’t have a terminal illness so I believe them.” What a f***ing idiot.
word here is lula is trying to schedule a visit to the island and chavez said hed see what he could do, fidel might not be able to handle the “excitement” of receiving an old friend like lula right now..
I’ve long felt that far too much undue notice has always been paid to this man who absolutely craves attention, of any kind, just like a drug addict craves a fix. It’s a satisfaction he should not have been given. His whole life has been, in a sense, just so much theatrical posturing and overacting, and the play continues.
Whatever his real condition is, and whenever he finally dies, it’s practically certain he will cheat justice (in this world). At least Pinochet was hounded and harassed for years, not to mention vilified by all and sundry, even if he managed to keep dodging the bullet. Castro has basically gotten off scot-free, even though his criminal record is far longer and far worse.
People may celebrate and party when he dies, and I can certainly understand that, but it’s a case of too little too late, mainly nature taking its course.
I think that they have been doing a lot of “false runs” in order to keep folks skeptical when the real thing happens.
Oh, and like the Cuban government is really going to tell American government officials, “Sorry guys, he’s dead—so you can start spiking the cigars for Raul any day now, now that the treaty’s up.” ::virtual rolling of eyes::
