His latest article from Iraq is up at the Examiner with a companion piece, an interview, up at INDC Journal.
Both are excellent and well worth reading.

In a really perverse, but useful way, the situation in Iraq and now in the West Bank is ridding the world of many terrorists, for it seems that they are far better at killing each other than fighting a wars.
Val,
Thanks for this post.
During the interview, Yusef stated: “I think the Americans are more for Iraq than the Iraqis themselves.”
The above statement is so true. It’s one more element of what makes this war so different and challenging. It’s interesting to see his honesty regarding his personal view of Americans. How it has gone from negative to positive because of his personal experience. Our brave military is wearing many hats at the same time that they are fighting a different kind of enemy.
God Bless Our Troops!!!
I wish you well 🙂 Melek
“War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” ~ J.S. Mill
