Perhaps the best thing to come from my attending last week’s WeMedia Miami conference was that I finally managed to decide on the course of a project that Ive been mulling around in my head for quite some time now. I also might have found an organization willing to fund the project via a grant.
But before I get into details on the project itself, I need some assistance.
First, I need to know if there’s someone out there with experience setting up an NGO and 501c3.
I also need an expert on web design, web hosting and video webcasting as well as someone familiar with digital video cameras, video editing software, lighting, audio recording and other technical aspects of video shooting and recording.
Translators will also be needed, not just yet, but in the near future.
Ive set up an email account specifically for this project that we are tentatively calling “El Exilio Project.” That email address is elexilioATbabalublogDOTcom. (Just change the “at” and “dot” to their respective symbols.)
Anyone that can offer up some preliminary help by way of me picking your brain on your particular expertise, please email me at the above mentioned address or drop a comment in the comments section.
Gracias and I know, absolutely, that you all are going to love the project.
Val, some might say I would qualify as “expert on web design, and web hosting.”
I’m always short on time, but always have plenty of advice and can point you in the right direction as you figure out your design and hosting requirements.
I’ve done a minimal amount of video stuff, but if your project includes podcasting, I can help with that as well.
Let me know how I can help.

Mr. Prieto,
I am a commercial photographer. I have no idea what I can do for you, being that I live in Dallas, Texas, but, if by any chance you can think of something, and no one is available in Miami….
…don’t hesitate to call on me. I love to find excuses for going to Miami.
I specialize in taking pictures of “things”.
but after 27 years in the business, I have done it all.
My website does not show my “people” photography, but I can send some jpegs if that is necessary.
Sincerely,
Manny Rodriguez
