I havent had the time to blog everything I wanted to blog about the Cuba Nostalgia Convention. My apologies to all for that, but it has been a bit hectic at the Prieto household lately and I didnt want to just throw stuff together and toss it out there.
Luckily the Babalú family has a bit of everything, including an excellent videographer from Arizona. Our very own Chuckwalla – who also provided us with the Babalú Expresso Blend – has put together a few minutes, call it a video synopsis, of the Cuba Nostalgia Convention, 2007.
Click right here. Some of you, like me, may need some Kleenex.

Al ver este video, tengo el corazon hecho una papita frita.
I’m so blessed to have been born in Cuba – mi copa se desborda de tantas emociones. Gracias Val
Thanks Val,
Watching the video is like re-visiting Cuba Nostalgia again.
Note to readers, a lot of the video was shot on Friday which is more of a media day at Cuba Nostalgia. The last few scenes show the crowds from Saturday and particularly Sunday when the show was packed.
Beautiful.
Besides reliving Cuba Nostalgia all over again, I love how it perfectly captured the “Babalu Family Reunion.” Happy memories.
Thanks to Chuckwalla!
Val, you were right. The kleenex box came out. What did it for me was the little girl dancing. It’s that Cuban blood running thru our vains that won’t let us stand still when we hear our wonderful music. Thanks for sharing and Thanks to Chuckwalla.
Thanks Val, Chuckwalla and Babalu family for having me at your booth. Hope you enjoyed the book Crisis of Identity II. I loved meeting all of you and I love what you represent. Once a Cuban, always a Cuban.
