Three attacks in two days (Updated)

Update, July 1 from ABC News – “Secret Document: U.S. Fears Terror ‘Spectacular’ Planned”:

A secret U.S. law enforcement report, prepared for the Department of Homeland Security, warns that al Qaeda is planning a terror “spectacular” this summer, according to a senior official with access to the document.
“This is reminiscent of the warnings and intelligence we were getting in the summer of 2001,” the official told ABCNews.com.
U.S. officials have kept the information secret, and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said today on ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” that the United States did not have “have any specific credible evidence that there’s an attack focused on the United States at this point.”

* * *

After foiling two potentially devastating terrorist attacks in London yesterday (link), one terrorist succeeded today by ramming a burning SUV through the window of Glasgow Airport (link). The summer is only nine days old and getting hotter.
Until our leaders admit the truth of what and who we are fighting, we will continue to see these little pin-pricks. My fear, however, is that one day the Islamofascists will have a big success. And if you thought 9/11 was a watershed moment, just wait for the that one.
Audaces fortuna juvat.

  1. Britain is reaping the results of years of unchecked immigration from places where extremists and islamic radicals make their lairs — Pakistan, Syria, Iran, the West Bank, north Africa, you name them. The ticking time bomb comes because, in high percentages, those immigrants in the UK don’t care to assimilate; their unemployment rates are terribly high; they tend to gravitate or congregate in their own communities, where there is no real opportunity to monitor them if they have evil intents.
    But the crowning jewel of it all is the staunch TOLERANCE of British society for these moral discards, who get to enjoy the benefits if the British welfare system that’s precisely why the COME, sports fans), plus the civil liberties of speech and association that allow them to plot against the government and innocent people. Go look at the photographs and hear the audio of the extremists and their imams in Britain as they openly curse and threaten anyone and everyone who dares think differently than they. England has been sitting like a hen over these eggs, thinking they’d never hatch. Well …… guess what.
    NONE of this is news, guys; it’s old hat. It’s well documented. It’s in your face.
    While other EU countries do the same as Britain (and WORSE, like Holland), it seems the Brits are getting hit in part for their support of the US, weak and half-hearted as it is. The UK, like the rest of Eurabia, has been looking the other way, pretending that the problem is not that bad; they keep harboring undesirables in the name of diversity and human rights. Except no one is returning the favor. In their effort to avoid stirring the viper’s nets, they’ve actually nurtured all the elements that are hellbent on destroying their very existence and civilization.
    Take a hint, America ….. oh, I’m sorry, it’s Saturday, I forgot you’re at the mall.

  2. Gigi, you are so right. We’ve been spared so far, if only because we are a little more vigilant than the Brits, and that there are a lot us constantly banging on the drum of vigilance. Unbridled immigration to all of Europe will be the death of them in the next 50 years. (Read America Alone by Mark Steyn.)
